I believe this is still a free country and Trump can run if he wants to. We need Governor Desantis in Florida!

I would absolutely support President Trump, if he gets the nomination. The nonsense over January 6 is nothing but political theater, as you have pointed out in detail. I am just concerned about the baggage that Trump may carry into an election season for the undecided voter. Governor DeSantis has shown the courage to take on the liberals, something that any Republican politician has to have to return our country to the greatness it once had.

I must admit that I didn't see that one coming. Although if Trump did not run I would like to see
DeSantis go for it. Others I would consider are Mike Pompeo, Richard Grenell and others on Trumps Cabinet and Nikki Haley former Ambassador to the United Nations.

DeSantis has said he is not going to run for President in 2024. He has work to do in Florida. As a Florida resident, I hope he will complete his 2nd term in Florida and then run in 2028 when Trump leaves office.

    Hi Mike,
I voted in your poll. I must say, I had a difficult time deciding between Trump and DeSantis. I wholeheartedly believe that Trump was God’s choice for us for a season. And as much as I love and appreciate what he did for our beloved USA, he also has a way about him that is so off-putting that it sometimes caused division that did not need to happen. While I completely understand that you can’t please everyone all of the time, you certainly don’t need to intentionally cause the chasm to widen. I ended up casting my vote for Trump for a couple of reasons:

    1. Does DeSantis even want to run for President?
    2. I don’t know enough about DeSantis to be able to make an informed decision in his favor.

Your poll really made me wonder “Why don’t I know the answers to #’s 1 & 2”? Maybe you could spend more time helping us to get to know him better. Just a thought.

Thank you for your objective and truthful newsletter!

    Blessings on you,
    Ruth

My preference is for Trump but I will be most happy to stand behind DeSantis any day of the week.

This survey is inherently flawed, Governor, because MANY of us will no longer respond to surveys, since those with a political stake in the drama use survey results to calculate their strategies. As a student of statistics, I love to participate, but I no longer feel I can continue to give information, aid or comfort to those who may use these in an unwise manner.

Regarding Trump vs DeSantis for 2024, I am undecided who to support in 2024. Right now I’m focused on the 2022 elections. BUT, I am tired of President Trump reliving how the Democrats cheated him. I am hoping that after the 2022 mid terms, President Trump will turn to focusing on the future, and leave the past behind. I want to hear again his vision for restoring the Country after 4 years of Joe Biden and his administration. I don’t know if President Trump can leave the past behind. If not, I’m afraid it will sink his 2024 campaign.

My comment is about the J6 Committee cancelling today's (Wednesday) hearings so their small video staff can catch up on their video presentation preparations, which is double speak for so they can have more time to edit and alter the videos to fit their agenda and lies. (Desantis is my second choice, but they will do the same to him as they are doing to President Trump).

I am one of your constituents from Arkansas governor and if DeSantis were to run for president, I would vote for him. But I am hoping that Trump will run and win, then DeSantis would run and win. That will give Republicans control for 12 years instead of 8.
BTW I read your newsletter every day and never miss your TV show.
