Natural Immunity

With more and more businesses restricting entry only to those who are vaccinated (you’d think that Broadway shows that were shut down for over a year wouldn’t be so quick to refuse to sell tickets to such a large part of the population), one thing that seldom gets mentioned is people who have had COVID and recovered from it. Some doctors argue that people with such natural immunity still need to be vaccinated while others say natural immunity is superior, and some even argue that vaccination may weaken natural immunity.
One study of 7200 recent cases in Israel that was likely heavily slanted toward the Delta variant found that about 3,000 patients had been vaccinated while only 72 had had COVID before. Both of those were very low numbers considering the total population, but those numbers suggest that natural immunity is 6.7 times stronger than vaccination. Johns Hopkins University medical professor Dr. Marty Makary says that instead of calling this a pandemic of the unvaccinated, we should be talking about the immune and the not immune.
Still, the CDC has resisted pressure to recognize natural immunity. But that might be starting to change: The agency just raised its travel advisory to Israel to the highest level, but included those who have “recovered from a documented COVID-19 infection within the last 3 months” among the vaccinated in issuing safety guidelines.
Why the three-month time limit when studies show that natural immunity is holding strong even 18 months later? Who knows? But at least they’re finally addressing the issue. Ironically, the country those people would be visiting, Israel, recognizes natural immunity from being recovered as equivalent to being fully vaccinated.
Any wonder why people are confused?

Dr. Anthony Fauci explains why he thinks children should be forced to wear masks in school, and “hopefully,” it will be “temporary enough that it doesn’t have any lasting negative impact on them.”
Yes, hopefully, it won’t ruin their health and scar them for life. If it’s temporary enough. Now, explain what “temporary” means to all the neurotic people who want everybody to keep wearing masks from now on, even after the pandemic is long over.

Stop The Presses!

Someone at an American University has finally found something that isn’t racist! Unfortunately, it’s a virulently racist black radical group.

At Virginia Tech University, a teaching assistant downgraded a conservative student’s paper on the New Black Panther Party because she called them racists and racism is a “system of oppression and subjugation,” so therefore, white people can’t be victims of racism. She admonished the student that the NBPP discriminates and has prejudice against white people and Jewish people, but it cannot be racist.

So while everything from a large rock to the concept of math is racist, a group that even the Southern Poverty Law Center describes as a “virulently racist and anti-Semitic organization whose leaders have encouraged violence against whites, Jews and police officers” is not racist.
The student appealed the lowered grade to her professor, who sided with the student. He’ll probably be called a racist next.
In the meantime, if the New Black Panther Party can’t be racist, then what is racist? Well, let’s spin the Big Wheel of Random Outrage and see! And it stops on…”Curry!” Mark it down: the word “curry” is now racist! But the New Black Panther Party isn't.
Christians In Portland Refuse To Be Intimidated

After last weekend’s shocking assault by Antifa thugs on a family Christian prayer gathering in a Portland park - where the police just stood by and did nothing to stop the violent anarchists – huge numbers of Christians returned to that very spot the next day and held a mass rally to show that they will not back down.
However, Antifa did show up even at the huge rally, throwing needles, pills, drugs and more at the crowd. And there were reports of them attacking Christians as they were leaving the event and no longer in large numbers (I believe I did mention that they were cowards.)
I’m glad to see that Christians in Portland are refusing to let this band of obnoxious anarchists intimidate them, although next time, they might want to come even better prepared to defend themselves.
