BREAKING NEWS FRIDAY: Merrick Garland appoints special counsel to investigate Trump
BREAKING NEWS: Friday afternoon –- just three days after President Trump announced he would be running for re-election in 2024 –- Attorney General Merrick Garland truly outdid himself with an announcement of his own, that he’s appointed a special counsel to investigate Trump’s possession of allegedly “classified” documents at Mar-A-Lago and his role in the so-called “insurrection” of January 6.
As NEWSMAX reports, special counsel Jack Smith will report to Garland, who has “ultimate say of whether to bring charges.”
Jack Smith is reportedly a former chief of the Justice Department’s Public Integrity Unit, serving in that job for five years under the Obama administration before going to the U.S. attorney’s office in the Middle District of Tennessee. More on him here…

As shocking as this is, it should surprise no one. The ‘Justice’ Department is stunningly politicized and completely out of control. We’ll have full details and an analysis tomorrow.
Struck down
A federal court in Texas has struck down the Biden Administration’s unconstitutional attempt to force doctors to provide “transgender” patients with “gender-affirming care” (i.e., puberty blockers, hormones and irreversible surgery such as amputating girls’ breasts), even if they don’t believe that’s the best form of care and is a violation of the Hippocratic Oath.
To justify that, Biden’s White House tried to cite a clause in Obamacare barring discrimination based on sex, and surgically alter it into something was never meant to be: a requirement to treat “gender identity” delusions with drugs and surgery. In a related story, a “transgender-identifying” man became the latest male cyclist to blow away a field of biological women and win an elite cycling event, this time in Massachusetts.

Not letting it go
Sadly, most media outlets are now calling the Arizona Governor’s race for Democrat Katie Hobbs. But Kari Lake is not just letting it go. She says she will continue to fight the “broken election system.” And Stephen Kruiser at PJ Media believes this isn’t merely sour grapes or “election denial.” He says she has a very good legal team, and they likely wouldn’t bother if they didn’t think there was something there to find, particularly in Maricopa County, where vote tabulators mysteriously and conveniently (for Democrats) broke down on Election Day in red areas, causing hours-long waits and who knows how many “suppressed” votes for Lake.
Kruiser says even if Lake doesn’t eventually prevail, she could do Arizonans an invaluable service if she forces them, like Florida, to clean up their laughingstock elections system, especially in Maricopa, where officials run it “like a bunch of backwoods drunks.” But that might be hard, considering the person in charge of running the last election is most likely about to become Governor.
