A priceless public service
Our gratitude to the editors of Townhall.com for providing a priceless public service to Supreme Court nominees, liberal media members and others who don't have advanced degrees in biology by providing a clear definition of what a "woman" is. Trudeau update
Like President Biden’s advisers, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau probably hopes that the timing of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine distracted the public from his own catastrophic leadership and created a “rally-‘round” effect. But just as Biden’s approval ratings continue to circle the drain…
Trudeau’s attempts to make people forget the unconscionable, dictatorial way he crushed the peaceful truckers protest are crashing like an 18-wheeler on an icy hairpin curve. Trudeau went to Brussels, where he made a speech to the European Parliament, piously condemning Putin for attacking “the values that form the pillars of all democracies,” and adding, “We have a responsibility to make the case to people about why these values matter so much — not just to Ukrainians but to us all.”
That was too much for some of the Eastern European members who have hard experience with dictators to stomach. Croatian MEP Mislav Kolakusic followed Trudeau and blasted him straight to his face:
“Unfortunately, today, there are those among us who trample on these fundamental values…Canada, once a symbol of the modern world, has become a symbol of civil rights violations under your quasi-liberal boot in recent months. We watched how you trample women with horses, how you block the bank accounts of single parents so that they can’t even pay their children’s education and medicine, that they can’t pay utilities, mortgages for their homes.”
Romanian MEP Cristian Terhes refused even to attend Trudeau’s speech but issued a statement ripping him to shreds. He wrote in part:
“You can’t come and teach democracy lessons to Putin from the European Parliament when you trample with horse hooves your own citizens who are demanding that their fundamental rights be respected.” He called Trudeau a tyrant and a dictator, “like Ceau?escu in Romania” and “no better than Putin.” He declared, “Between the Russian imperialist tyranny, promoted by Putin, and the neo-Marxist tyranny pretending to be progressivism promoted by the likes of Trudeau, in which people are deprived of their rights and freedoms, becoming objects of the state, I do not choose any.”
So, memo to Canadians: I hope you haven’t forgotten what Trudeau and his supporters did, because the rest of the world hasn’t. Particularly not those who know a dictator and enemy of the people’s fundamental rights when they see one.
McConnell weighs in on Ketanji Brown Jackson
Biden SCOTUS nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson is virtually certain to be narrowly confirmed, but it won’t be with the support of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell. McConnell said he went into the hearings with an open mind, but after hearing Jackson’s response to questions and studying her soft-on-crime record, he cannot support giving her a lifetime seat on the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, according to the hair-on-fire liberal media talking heads, when Republicans question Judge Jackson about her judicial philosophy and her own court rulings, they’re exhibiting “deeply offensive” racism, sexism and transphobia; promoting QAnon conspiracy theories; publicly “flogging” a black woman; exhibiting “McCarthyism at its worst;” and even committing a “hate crime.”

Wow, if they’re that overly sensitive to the questions aimed at SCOTUS nominees, I guess it’s a good thing they slept through the Kavanaugh and Barrett confirmation hearings!
Oh, wait, I take it back: the Washington Post claims to have watched the Kavanaugh hearings because they say Republicans are treating Jackson worse than Democrats treated Kavanaugh. No, on second thought, never mind. They obviously didn’t watch the Kavanaugh hearings…
More Free Money from the Democrats
Democrats in Congress, and in some blue states like California, are hoping to mitigate the anger among voters over skyrocketing gasoline prices by sending people free government money to help fill their tanks. In a scheme inspired by the COVID relief payment program (you remember, the one that resulted in $1.8 billion worth of fraud…)
https://victorygirlsblog.com/fraud-billions-in-covid-relief-used-for-perks-instead/
Democrats in Congress are pushing a bill to send $100 a month to every American to help pay for high priced gasoline (with today's prices, that's about one SUV fill-up)…
Meanwhile, California Gov. Gavin Newsom wants to send out “free” debit cards worth up to $800 to every driver (including those with electric cars, for some reason), and people who take the bus and other mass transit.

This free money would be paid for by such typical Democrat sleight of hand as taxing energy companies, which in no way would result in even higher future gas prices that would offset the money they’re sending out to pay for the current high gas prices.
Or there’s a much simpler solution to bring down gas prices: replace these people with Republicans who will let the American oil and gas industry produce oil and gas again.
