2. One word for Biden's Jan. 6 speech: DISGRACEFUL

That's about all there is to say at the moment after seeing perhaps the most DISGRACEFUL and unpresidential performance in memory. (Of course, there are many synonyms, including abominable, shameful, disgusting and dishonorable.) We just wanted to note that before press time for the Evening Edition. 3. You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for, in this case racial divisions and spiraling crime rates. And someone paid plenty to buy that for America.

Thomas Edsall of the New York Times (!) just published an investigative report called “The Law of Unintended Political Consequences Strikes Again” that tallies up the amount of money that “progressive” elites and philanthropic entitles showered onto divisive, racial groups after the killing of George Floyd. The total was nearly $25 billion (yes, “billion” with a “b.”)

It’s the largest outpouring of “philanthropy” ever spent on a single cause in such a short time, probably by a factor of 10. And aside from vastly enriching a lot of so-called socialists and grifters, it’s also torn the country apart, aggravated racial divisions and gotten a lot of criminals released (I question whether those were unintended consequences.) It's also gotten a lot of innocent people killed, many of them black (murder victims in blue cities are disproportionately black, and black neighborhoods are suffering the most from reducing the police presence there.) It’s also helped fund the most radical left elements of the Democratic Party, pushing the party so far to the left that it’s likely about to get wiped out in the next elections.

So at least something good may eventually come of all the money that was parted from all those fools.

PS - Speaking of voter backlash and unintended consequences, look at what blue state COVID policies are doing to Florida voter registration. Looks like these refugees don't need to be reminded not to vote for the same policies that drove them out of blue states.

4. Progressives push for four more Justices

I don’t know if this qualifies as news, since (A.) nobody would be surprised that these people would do this, and (B.) there’s no way it would pass the Senate even if enough House Democrats were suicidal enough to back it. But just for the record, the Congressional "Progressive" Caucus is once again pushing to add four more Justices to the Supreme Court and pack it with leftwing radicals.

“After thoughtful consideration, the Progressive Caucus membership has determined that the urgent work to restore American democracy must include expanding the Supreme Court,” said Caucus chair Rep. Pramila Jayapal, whom I am convinced has never given thoughtful consideration to anything.

You can read more of her rantings at the link if you must, but just note that if these people really cared about democracy, they’d stop trying to force this radical power grab onto a nation whose people, according to a recent Morning Consult poll, support the idea by only 26%.

5. Congratulations are in order!

Congratulations to Navy Capt. Amy Bauernschmidt, who after a stellar Naval career has just become the first female captain of an aircraft carrier when she assumed command of the USS Abraham Lincoln.

There are more details at that link, along with some thoughts about why the media and feminist leaders have been so quiet about this remarkable achievement, as well as other groundbreaking achievements by women who hold patriotic or conservative views. Why, it’s almost as if you’re not really a woman unless you’re a leftist, just like how if you didn’t support Joe Biden, you weren’t black.

6. The "Technical Definition":

The CDC claims that the “technical definition” of “fully vaccinated” has not changed, and it still means two doses of an mRNA vaccine or one of the J&J vaccine. However, in a tacit admission that there will be no end to the boosters, Dr. Fauci says the term “fully vaccinated” is being replaced with “up-to-date shots.”

In a related story, a man in Germany tried to promote COVID vaccinations by arranging his flock of 700 sheep into the shape of a giant hypodermic needle.
