DAILY BIBLE VERSE
62 Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.

The fight against terrorism lives on
By Mike Huckabee
The FBI believes that Imran Ali Rasheed, who shot a Lyft driver to death in Garland, Texas, before being shot when he launched an assault in a police station, was inspired by foreign terrorists or terrorism propaganda. It’s a potential warning that we may not still be in Afghanistan, but that doesn’t mean that the fight against terrorism is over. It’s just shifting battlegrounds.
Imagine if this had been Trump
By Mike Huckabee
In one of those “Imagine if this had been Trump” moments, President Biden referred to a black senior adviser as “boy.”
But as the commentator at Redstate.com notes, this might not have been intended as racist. It was part of such a jumble of uh’s and word salad that it might have just been one of those episodes that some seniors who are losing their mental capabilities experience, where they struggle for words and blurt out offensive things without realizing it. That’s not a comforting alternative explanation.
CORRECTION: Jonathan Turley has some objections
By Mike Huckabee
Correction: We had some leftover text from a previous post in yesterday's story, that we have removed from the version below.
Law professor Jonathan Turley has some objections to the puff piece NBC interview with Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd, in which he boasted of being a hero who was just doing his job, and who saved countless lives by gunning down unarmed protester Ashli Babbitt.
Turley points out that Byrd's own words discredit the two “investigations” (DOJ and Capitol Police) that cleared him of any wrongdoing. By his own admission, he couldn’t see her hands and didn’t know her intentions, but he perceived her as a threat so he killed her. Turley says that under this standard, police could have gunned down hundreds of unarmed protesters, not only at the Capitol but at all the BLM protests across America. He also asserts that the real heroes who “did their job” were all the other cops who showed restraint and didn’t use lethal force on unarmed protesters.
America cannot survive having a two-tiered justice system where people are prosecuted or let go, or even shot to death, based on their political affiliations. As Instapundit website master Glenn Reynolds, himself a law professor, observed, “In the eyes of the establishment — including those silent ‘law professors and experts’ — she deserved to die because she was a Trump supporter. It’s all about that.”
"Education" Department
By Mike Huckabee
I already put quotation marks in “Justice” Department, and I guess I’ll now have to start writing “Education” Department the same way. That’s because the Biden “Education” Department seems to consist of ideologues who never learned how to read. Evidence: the “Education” Department has opened civil rights investigations into five states for banning mask mandates in schools, claiming they discriminate against kids with disabilities or medical issues, preventing them from attending school in person because it would put them at risk.
As the Legal Insurrection blog points out, in every single state, there is no ban on students wearing masks if they think it will make them safer. The laws just bar schools from forcing kids to wear masks if they don’t want to. If you think masks work, and you believe you need one, then wear one. Nobody will stop you. Some schools even encourage wearing masks, they just don’t force you. And many parents are opposed not because they’re dumb conspiracy theorists or want to spread disease, but because they doubt the effectiveness of masks and think their negative side effects, such as giving kids headaches from breathing too much CO2 or transmitting germs to their faces, are more dangerous to kids than COVID.
By the way, according to the most recent study by Canada’s University of Waterloo, the blue masks most people wear are only about 10% effective at stopping COVID transmission. The other 90% of your protection comes from wishful thinking.
Sturgis rally update
By Mike Huckabee
Remember how liberal news outlets ignored Obama’s big birthday bash but slammed the Sturgis motorcycle rally as a “superspreader” event? Well, it’s been over three weeks, more than enough time for any COVID cases caught at Sturgis to be noted. Out of nearly 4,000 newly-diagnosed cases in South Dakota, only 39 have been attributed to the rally. Also, the average number of COVID cases in the US is 276 per 100,000 people over 10 days. In South Dakota, the number is 156, well below the national average.
There are only two explanations: either the media were attacking the Sturgis rally attendees out of political bias, or the virus mistook the Sturgis rally for a BLM protest and didn’t infect anybody there.
COVID around the world
By Mike Huckabee
Many Americans are looking with envy at the radical COVID lockdowns in Australia that have practically turned it back into a penal colony and dreaming of ways to abuse power to force people to get vaccinated. There was even word that the White House was pondering an unconstitutional ban on interstate travel if you didn’t “show your (vaccination) papers.” They make no exceptions for people who have medical issues that make vaccination more dangerous than COVID, or for those who have already had the disease and have natural immunity.
Well, I know that here in Biden’s America, facts don’t matter, but in case anyone still cares, the latest large-scale study from Israel found that vaccinated people had a 27 times higher risk of symptomatic infection than people who’d already had it and recovered. There were no deaths among either group.
This is one of 15 academic studies so far showing the effectiveness of natural immunity. It’s still less risky to get vaccinated than to get the disease, but this should spell an end to calls to force everyone to get vaccinated, even if they’ve already had COVID. But it won’t, because “SCIENCE!”
Celebrities join the fight to save Gavin Newsom
By Mike Huckabee
Barbra Streisand, John Legend, Rob Reiner, Steven Spielberg and a number of other liberal celebrities and Hollywood executives are donating big bucks and campaigning frantically to save uber-left Governor Gavin Newsom from being recalled and replaced.
https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/hollywood-mobilizes-to-protect-gavin-newsom-amid-recall-reports
It isn’t surprising that they see no reason to recall him (some denounce the recall as a right-wing conspiracy, despite it garnering the support of millions of citizens.) After all, they have money, gated mansions and armed security to insulate them from the devastating effects of Newsom’s lockdowns, assaults on freedom, high taxes, skyrocketing crime, riots, and epidemic homelessness and illegal immigration.
But I’ll do them a favor and pass along their message to my readers in California:
I want you to know that the same out-of-touch celebrities who spent 2020 telling you that it was vital for America’s interests to replace Donald Trump with Joe Biden are now telling you that it’s vital for California’s interests not to replace Gavin Newsom. Please reflect on their track record of political wisdom before you mark your ballots. Thank you.
