“I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order --- respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”

President Trump tweeted this in response to the violence that erupted Wednesday at the Capitol Building, when some “Trump supporters” broke through barricades and stormed the building, breaking windows, getting rough with police in the halls, even entering the House chamber. As this is being written, news has just broken that one of the people who got shot in the melee has died.

Trump is right: we ARE the party of law and order, but I think most of us will agree that he needs to be a lot tougher in his condemnation of this. The same can be said of the video statement he released. Of course, virtually every news outlet who posted his tepid “go home” video had to editorialize, saying that Trump “repeated false claims” of election fraud. Facebook took it down.

So did YouTube.

Trump also tweeted this on Wednesday: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”

Well, yes, Mr. President, but in the USA, at least those of us on the right, also demand that the Constitution be meticulously followed. Vice President Pence obviously was doing what he thought was right concerning his role in this. We may disagree with him –- numerous constitutional experts do, and Alan Dershowitz isn’t sure –- and you obviously disagree with him, but please, right now, stay out of that process and stop pressuring him.

Trump told his supporters to go home, but no reaction to this violence is complete without a total, vociferous condemnation. We all condemned the truly awful violence coming from the Democrat side this summer when their party and the media (but I repeat myself) failed to do it. In this case, it’s just as wrong, no matter who is behind it.

We are aghast at this.

It is very obvious that the violence was done by BLM protesters who are acting like they are Trump supporters. This is a deliberate ploy to stop the overturn of an election filled with fraud.

Evidence continues to emerge that at least some of these protesters were antifa in disguise as Trump supporters. Be certain of facts before condemning a group of people.

How many fake patriots, (antifa or BLM) were mixed in with this crowd to incite rioting or violence and entice foul behavior? I will bet they were there blending with patriots just playing on tempers to get bad things going. Who killed that young girl? Really? Not a good lawman ..or was she locked and loaded? Too many questions right now and Trump's message being blocked at that perfect time not getting the message out to his supporters. No ..that wasn't part of this plan of theirs.

Behind closed doors, Democrats are giving each other high-fives today. Today’s events came right out of their play book and now they will try to justify stripping us of even more rights. I’m afraid we have reached a point of no return. I fear the country my grandchildren will grow up in will no longer be the land of the free and home of the brave. God, help us!

"We are the party of Law and Order".. as in we take the high road, and lose to the low life Dems everytime. I do not know who was doing the riots.. I seriously doubt that the woman who was shot and died, was shot by a protester... America is mad. REALLY mad. And those of us who have endured the lies, cheating deception and fraud are tired of it. The Left riots, burns, destroys and the media and DC just nods and says- 'well, they are upset". I am sure some of those folks are Trump supporters- and I sympathize with them. Being the nice guy and losing everytime isn't a workable plan anymore. Maybe for the Romney's, and McCain-types and Cornyns- certainly the Feinsteins, Pelosi's and Schumers- but the GOP is dead. Done. Useless. Quit making excuses and DO something FOR America instead of rolling over for the Socialists/FASCISTS/and anarchists.

putting yourself in President Trumps shoes , I think you would be a bit

The people that broke in were Antifia and BLM. This was recorded by Christian News Victory. They are sending President Trump copies of it and Vice President Pence. It is so hard to believe that the Democrat party can get by with the things they have done. Any person that can count knows that there was corruption in our election. But the Judges in these areas that Obama got in refused to hear the evidence. We will never have another fair election in this country unless the Democrats and Republicans both can agree on an investigation.

We are living in a world that has turned it's back on Jesus Christ. That said, it does not surprise me about what happened today. There are several groups that will infiltrate peaceful assemblies and cause chaos. Right now, we do not know what exactly happened, who was involved. Stepping back is the smart thing to do, however, the fire is lit and I expect more to come. We need Jesus Christ to take over. We have already won. Until He returns, we fight to the last breath but fight smart. Use knowledge, compassion and best of all, be in His Word daily! Practice what He preaches!

Absolutely, President Trump has to condemn the actions of the fringe lunatics who are tarnishing his presidency and our country. I cannot understand his lack of taking a position and I honestly believe he is discrediting everyone who has been supporting him. When Fringe Lunatics took over blocks of Seattle and burned businesses in Portland he spoke up, but today he has failed us.

Mr Huckabee,
President Trump spoke against the violence and asked them to go home peacefully. I’m disappointed that you judged these violent people to be Trump supporters without any evidence other than their clothing and being present with the Trump supporters. It was an intentional act to make it look like Trump supporters and you and the media fell for it !

Yes, it may be true that President Trump was not vociferous enough, however the Democratic leaders did not raise their voices at all to condemn the total dishonesty of the election in several states, as well as to raise their voices to insist on forensic examinations to settle for everyone the large number reports on Election fraud. In short, those Democratic leaders are responsible for what happened, as the frustration of disenfranchised voters has boiled over in the face of "the public be damned" attitude of too many corrupt political leaders and the Communist media and Big Tech.

Gov Huckabee: This is the ultimate dilemma; We know that if we do "the right thing, under the law" and allow the Biden Administration to take power, that they will destroy the country -- and probably very quickly. They've told us that time and time again. They're going to 1) End the filibuster; 2) Pack the Supreme Court; 3) Add new states, etc. Question: If we have a provision in the process for Congress to certify the election results, they should have the power to reject certification of the election results. If they're only a "rubber stamp," then why have this step in the process?

If a few battleground states circumvented the legislature to change the laws, they why can't congress refuse to certify the results? The Democrats have been all alone telling us they intend to cheat in the elections. Nancy Pelosi didn't push for "mail in" ballots because she cares about the citizens; we know, without doubt that she does not. She wanted mail in ballots so she can cheat.
Bottom Line: IF THE PEOPLE HAVE LOST CONFIDENCE IN THE FAIRNESS OF THE ELECTIONS, THEN WE SHOULD STOP THE PROCESS AND RESOLVE THE ISSUES, RESTORE CONFIDENCE AND ONLY THEN SHOULD WE MOVE ON AND INSTALL A NEW GOVERNMENT.

Despite the pent up frustration and the righteous concern regarding the Democrat leaders pulling out all stops to restrict and 'punish' the Republicans with legislation, we still need to maintain a peaceful and civil stance.
At the same time, I should also point out how quickly the Republican demonstrators were called to task by the Democrats whose silence in the face of Antifa and BLM riots, mayhem and violence has been deafening! Selective enforcement of our laws is an ugly thing to see!

The Supreme Court and our whole judicial system and the Republican party have now immersed themselves into the swamp. The election was fixed, and the whole world knows it. Everyone that is an honest person believes what happened today is wrong! I, for one, think that paid operatives of the left orchestrated the violence. I also think that the theft of this election and those who have been part of it, democrat or republican, and who have created this situation must be brought to real justice.....Soon!
