Congratulations
Congratulations to Greg Gutfeld, whose late night show posted its highest ratings ever last week, topping all of its liberal hivemind competition (ColbertKimmelFallon.) Gutfeld’s average audience of 2.355 million viewers was over 200,000 more than runner-up Steven Colbert and over a million more than Fallon or Kimmel. And here’s some heartening news: he was also #1 in the key advertising demographic of younger viewers. Maybe young people aren't a hopelessly humorless, woke lost cause after all. At least not all of them.
Also noted in the article: Gutfeld is posting these numbers with the lead-in audience of a cable news network, not one of the big three broadcast “entertainment” networks that his competitors enjoy. Makes you wonder what kind of audience he’d draw if ABC, CBS or NBC ever put on his show. Not that that would EVER happen, of course. Their job is to repeat DNC talking points, not entertain viewers.
The radical swerve to the Left
It will come as no surprise to anyone reading this, but in this age of endless gaslighting, it’s nice to know that our senses are still functioning accurately and there is now empirical proof that CNN and MSNBC swerved radically left after Trump was elected.
In a study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, University of Pennsylvania researchers examined the political donations of guests appearing on CNN, MSNBC and Fox (the hosts generally don’t make donations, to maintain their neutrality…HA!) They found that, as expected, Fox guests leaned right. And surprisingly, up until Trump’s election, so did the other networks’ guests, slightly. But once Trump became the GOP frontrunner in 2016, Fox’s guests moved a little more to the right, while CNN and MSNBC guests lurched far to the left.
Yet these same networks keep telling us that it’s the Republicans who have lurched far to the right, even if our principles haven’t budged. I guess they just can’t see the truth because of relativity, which means they’re news networks that hire Andrew Cuomo’s relatives.
And speaking of being unable to see the truth when it’s spitting in their faces, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough brought on a special guest to assure viewers that the FBI is trustworthy, nonpartisan and just brimming with integrity. That guest: Peter Strzok.
Sorry if I made you spit coffee all over yourself.
