IDF Trick

I reported Friday that Israel launched a ground operation in Gaza and had troops and tanks on the border, but I made it clear that they had not entered Gaza. Too bad for Hamas that they don’t get this newsletter and receive accurate information. A lot of other media outlets were so eager to condemn Israel that they ran stories accusing Israeli troops of entering (or “invading”) Gaza. That was wrong, but it was also exactly what the Israelis wanted Hamas to believe. To quote that great military leader Admiral Ackbar from “Star Wars,” “It’s a trap!”
Thinking Israeli troops were nearby, hundreds of Hamas fighters who had been hiding among the civilian population fled into the Hamas tunnel network to prepare for battle. But when they came charging out of the tunnel, there were no Israeli troops on the ground and no civilians around to use as human shields. Just 160 Israeli aircraft flying overhead that wiped out their clear, easy target from above.
It was an ingenious trick on behalf of the IDF, but it never would have worked without the media’s reliable habit of running any story that makes Israel sound bad without bothering to get the facts straight. So thanks, anti-Israel leftist media: they couldn’t have killed all those Hamas militants without you.
Report: China using forced labor to build solar panels

Friday, Sheffield Hallam University released a bombshell report accusing China of using the forced labor of 2.6 million Uighurs and ethnic Kazakhs to support the solar panel industry.
These ethnic and religious minorities are kept under torturous conditions and forced not only to work but to renounce their religions and pledge loyalty to the Chinese Communist Party. With governments like ours pushing for more solar power, China wants to be the #1 supplier of solar panels; and using slave labor helps them keep the cost of their panels low.
It’s not yet clear how the Biden Administration will react to the report, but one hopes that having brought back such terrible Democrat inventions from the past as stagflation and segregation, they’ll draw the line at slave labor.
More Joe Biden “Moderate Bipartisan Normality”

President Biden has canceled President Trump’s executive order to create a Garden of American Heroes, with statues of figures ranging from Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Frederick Douglass to the Rev. Martin Luther King to LeBron James. It was created in response to all those leftist “peaceful protesters” destroying monuments all over the country. Biden also killed Trump’s order protecting national monuments from vandals.
Biden already revoked on his first day Trump’s order to create a 1776 Commission to develop a real American history curriculum that doesn’t teach kids to hate their country. So I guess he can’t have a lot of statues standing around that might teach them to respect the people who gave them a nation so free that even destroying a national monument doesn’t get them sent to a gulag.
Formal complaint filed against Maxine Waters

A formal complaint has been filed with the House Ethics Committee (Sorry: the House “Ethics” Committee) against toxic Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters.
The complaint accuses her of misusing a number of federal resources for her own protection when she traveled to Minneapolis to intimidate a jury by inciting violence and insurrection if Derek Chauvin wasn’t found guilty. For instance, despite already being protected by two Secret Service agents and two Capitol Police officers, she also reportedly demanded two air marshals and two more federal marshals accompany her through the airport. The federal air marshals were removed from a “High Risk” flight, leaving it with no protection just to make Maxine feel safe as she walked through the airport.
Consider the irony that she was going to a protest to demand fewer police to protect American citizens.
While I’m glad someone is shining a light on her abuses of power and her naked hypocrisy, if her Party wouldn’t even censure her for jury intimidation and inciting violence and insurrection, I can’t imagine that the Democrat-run “Ethics” Committee will do a thing about this.
Hopeful signs

A few hopeful signs that maybe President Biden is finally starting to wake up to what I predicted long ago: that his biggest problem in enacting his policies wasn’t going to be Republicans, it was going to be reality.
