Donald Trump is a former top-rated reality show star, so he knows the PR value of the “Big Reveal.” After teasing it out for weeks, on Monday, he revealed that his Vice Presidential pick is…(drumroll)…Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, come on down!! https://www.westernjournal.com/breaking-donald-trump-chosen-vp-kamala-harris-terrified/

Vance is not only a Senator but also a successful businessman and best-selling author of the award-winning memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy,” which was made into a popular film. It tells his harrowing life story: Born in Middletown, Ohio, to a very poor family, his parents divorced when he was two, he endured child abuse and his mother struggled with drug addiction. Raised mostly by his grandparents, his grandmother helped him to believe in himself. After high school, he joined the Marines (he would be the first Marine vet VP) and served as a combat correspondent in Iraq. He then worked his way through Ohio State, graduating summa cum laude, and went to Yale, where he became editor of the Yale Law Review. His life is an inspiring tale for all Americans that through hard work, faith and using your brains, anyone can overcome all obstacles to achieve the American Dream.

So naturally, Democrats immediately began painting him as a threat to democracy. He’s not only an “extreme nationalist” but a “dangerous virus.” I don’t think they called him “literally Hitler” yet, but it was only Monday. Give them until at least Tuesday.

Some pundits criticized Trump for not choosing a minority or female, or a more “establishment” pick to “balance the ticket.” I think the answers to that are obvious: Republicans don’t judge people by, as the great political philosopher Pat Paulson put it, “the color or shape or their skin.” And Trump probably plans to serve only one more term, so he wants a younger person who is a strong believer in his “America First” agenda who can follow in his footsteps and not be constantly trying to undermine him. It also helps that Vance is the very embodiment of the upper Midwest working class voter, and that’s what will help Trump carry battleground states like Wisconsin and Michigan.

As for the wailing from the Democrats and their media marionettes that Vance is a far-right extremist, they probably already had those stories ready to go no matter who Trump picked, with the name left blank to fill in later. They’ve cried “Wolf” so many times, Wolf Blitzer has soundproofed his house to keep from thinking someone is yelling for him.

They’re also claiming Vance will push to ban abortion on the federal level. I’ve already addressed this, but since they keep repeating this yarn, here goes again:

Trump is at the top of the ticket, and he’s said that in the post-Dobbs decision era, abortion is a state concern, not federal. Personally, I would love for everyone to realize what a barbaric practice abortion is and tacitly “ban” it by simply refusing to even consider it. But until such time as all hearts and minds are changed, a federal abortion ban would likely never be able to garner the 60 Senate votes to overcome a filibuster. And if it did, ironically, the pro-abortion crowd would rush to the Supreme Court and get it thrown out because “abortion is a state issue.” Then they’d be praising the SCOTUS and hailing the Dobbs decision.

Finally, Trump being the consummate showman, who else could have made Americans look forward so much to watching a Vice-Presidential debate? As Eric Trump said, in the “Line of the Day,” Biden put Kamala Harris in charge of AI and “she can’t even spell ‘AI.’”

Why does the ad for “walk fit” keeps interrupting your post? I am tired of seeing the obese woman in a tight fitting bathing suit. Is it a ploy by Zuckerberg to get people to exit rather than continue. I sure don’t like it!
