Fox News reports that billionaire and former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg has donated $20 million to reelect Joe Biden.

I’m not sure why this is news, since as mayor, Bloomberg was the epitome of the term “Republican in Name Only.” I assume he only ran as a Republican because he wanted to take over the successful city Rudy Giuliani had rebuilt, and this was before New Yorkers forgot that cities don’t run themselves and started electing Democrats to destroy it again. Bloomberg kept enough Guiliani policies in place to keep it from falling apart, but his penchant for nanny state-ism was running wild by the end of his term.

He then openly became a Democrat, ran for President and managed to blow over a billion dollars of his own money in three months, winning only one primary in American Samoa and spending $18 million per delegate. So if anyone is thinking that Bloomberg’s support of Biden is an endorsement of his wise decision-making from an expert, think again. It’s more in the “A fool and his money are soon parted” category.
