"Huckabee" Preview
Tune in tonight for a great new episode of “Huckabee” on TBN! I’ll talk to New York Rep. Claudia Tenney and Rev. Jim Harden about protecting pro-life pregnancy centers from violent radicals. Bestselling author Larry Loftis will discuss his latest book, the first biography of World War II heroine Corrie ten Boom. On the lighter side, I’ll check out some crazy news on “In Case You Missed It,” and welcome back hilarious comic Leland Klassen. And I’ll top it all off with one of our favorite country voices, back for his third appearance, the terrific Tony Jackson.
It airs tonight at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and Sunday at 9 EST/8 CST on TBN. Some Democrats confront reality
At a panel discussion in Washington, DC, hosted by the African American Mayors’ Association, New York City Mayor Eric Adams complained that his city is being “destroyed” by President Biden’s illegal migrant crisis.
And outgoing Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot said Democrats need to speak the truth about violent crime in their cities, and it does no good for police to arrest criminals when leftist prosecutors and judges keep letting them out to prey on the public again and again. She said if someone works up the courage to identify the person who shot up their neighborhood only to see him back on the street two days later, that tells the public “that the criminal justice system doesn’t care about victims and witnesses.” She said, “I know that there are people in my city that are wreaking havoc every day and need to be off the streets. That’s reality.”
As Nick Arama at Redstate.com notes, anyone hearing this is probably suffering from whiplash now.
Legal Round-Up
We’ll have more on some of these stories on Monday, but just so you know:
Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg dropped his appeal to prevent former Trump-hating New York prosecutor Mark Pomerantz from being subpoenaed to testify before the House Judiciary Committee, after a judge pretty much left him no choice.
The election software company Konnech Inc. dropped its lawsuit against True The Vote, after founders Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips were outrageously imprisoned, strip-searched and put in solitary confinement for refusing to reveal their sources. True the Vote released a statement reading, “Konnech’s litigation was meritless and intended to harass this organization. They have failed. We are evaluating our options with regard to holding them accountable for their unwarranted actions. We believe Konnech dismissed its lawsuit because it saw that it would lose.”

And the Supreme Court issued an administrative stay on a lower court’s ruling that the FDA violated its own rules in approving and removing safeguards from the abortion pill, mifepristone. This isn’t a ruling on the merits of the case, but it means the pill will remain available for now. The Alliance Defending Freedom, which filed the suit on behalf of doctors and medical groups, said it’s “common practice” for the Court to maintain the status quo until they can hear an appeal and issue a ruling. That’s been fast-tracked with oral arguments set for May 17.
DNC: No debates for Biden
There’s a lot of speculation on when President Biden will announce his reelection bid, but not much doubt that he will run again. So far, he has only two challengers: Marianne Williamson and Robert Kennedy Jr. And the DNC just made the stunning announcement that it supports Biden and will not sponsor any presidential primary debates for 2024.
That’s being seen as both an attempt to protect Biden from attacks by opponents, and also to protect him from himself. They must fear that sending Biden into a debate now would be like sending a man with St. Vitus Dance out to walk a tightrope over Niagara Falls. It’s a continuation of 2020’s use of COVID as an excuse to hide him from voters in the basement. Will it work again? That’s hard to believe, given the widespread belief even among many Democrats that he’s too old to serve this term, much less another one. Also, I doubt that his Republican challenger will be accommodating enough to go along with no debates.
It's also going to be harder to ignore that elderly donkey in the room after the Wall Street Journal ran an editorial Friday, calling on Biden not to run again.
https://www.foxnews.com/media/
The Journal was blunt and to the point:
"The public understands what Mr. Biden apparently won’t admit: that electing an octogenarian in obvious decline for another four years could be an historic mistake." They called his desire to run again “a risky act that borders on selfish" and added that despite the White House going to great lengths to hide it, " his decline is clear to anyone who isn’t willfully blind."
I guess they’re just hoping that supporters of a Party that claims Joe Biden is a great President, his Cabinet members are honest and competent, the economy is great, the Afghanistan pullout was a brilliant success, and men in dresses are actually women are willfully blind enough to fall for anything.

100 Days
This past Wednesday marked my daughter Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ 100th day in office as Governor of Arkansas. She offered some inspiring words for the occasion, listed some impressive accomplishments and changes that have already been made, and outlined plans for even more to come. You can read about it here…

Must-See
Megyn Kelly isn’t known for being a staunch conservative, so if she’s fed up with Democrats pushing “trans” rights as the expense of destroying women’s rights, and so enraged that she openly defied cancel culture threats, then maybe the tide of “trans” lunacy is finally starting to turn.
Kelly said she used to try to be nice and use “trans” people’s “preferred pronouns,” but she realized those are “gateway drugs” to the “co-opting of female sports and the word ‘female.’” Now, she says she is “done” with knuckling under to this “nonsense,” and if women and the men who support them don’t start speaking up, “we can kiss every woman’s space goodbye; we can kiss women’s rights goodbye; we can kiss sororities goodbye…” She also brushed off the predictable accusations of “transphobia,” saying, “You can be supportive of trans people and what they’re going through without surrendering to this madness!”
And in response to Dylan Mulvaney and other males insisting that they are really women, Kelly said this:
“You don’t know the first thing about being a woman. You have no idea what the average woman has been through the course of her life, the challenges we have, the beauty of being a woman, the softness of being a woman. And you never will. You’re never going to have it, doesn’t matter how many surgeries, doesn’t matter how many hormones, and I am done engaging in this fiction. I’m done! I have empathy, I have compassion, but I am not willing to abandon truth in the name of sparing feelings.”
You can also add comedian Rob Schneider to the growing list of those who refuse to say that the Emperor’s new ballgown makes him an Empress.

I think they speak for many millions of Americans who are sick of being told they have to pretend to believe things that aren’t merely false but beyond crazy. People who, when they hear someone like Rep. Hakeem Jeffries astonishingly claim that the issue of men in women’s sports “doesn’t really exist,” want to shout back at him, “Do you know what doesn’t really exist? PREGNANT MEN!!!” Or sanity in today’s Democratic Party.
https://dailycaller.com/2023/
By the way, I would suggest Rep. Jeffries ask Riley Gaines if that issue doesn’t really exist. Or North Carolina high school senior Payton McNabb, who suffered a concussion and neck injuries when a “trans” male athlete who never should have been playing on a girls’ team spiked a volleyball into her face. She was hit so hard, it ended her playing days, and she’s still suffering from impaired vision, partial paralysis of the right side of her body, constant headaches, anxiety and depression.
In fact, I would suggest that Republicans bring both a female athlete and a hulking male in a wig to Congress and give these Democrats who insist there’s no difference between the two their choice of which one they’d rather have punch them in the face. If they’d rather be punched by the teenage girl than by the big bruiser in the wig, then they just admitted their entire argument is a lie.
A new woke agency: The Office of Environmental Justice
President Biden signed an executive order creating yet another woke agency, the Office of Environmental Justice, which like many of his recent orders will impose a lot of DEI/racial filters onto federal spending that should be considered unconstitutional. (Whenever Democrats want to blow a lot of tax money on some pet political issue, they staple the word "justice" onto the end of it.)
I suggest that a good litmus test for any Republican Presidential hopeful would be whether they promise to disband these agencies immediately or just limit their increases in annual funding as they keep expanding until the end of time, ensuring that the alleged problems they were created to solve never actually get solved because they always need more money.

From Our “What Took You So Long?” File
Bud Light announced that their woke-pushing VP of marketing, Alissa Heinerscheid, who promoted “trans” social media celebrity Dylan Mulvaney and insulted Bud’s core customers as out-of-touch frat boys, has been placed on a “leave of absence” after helping to wipe $6 billion off the brand’s value. They claim that her decision circumvented “the proper approval channels.”
It’s not clear whether she has, as one wag on Twitter put it, transitioned to unemployment. But it’s not a good sign for her that she’s been replaced by Budweiser’s global marketing VP Todd Allen. If he shows up to work in a dress, he’d better claim it’s just because he drank too much beer the night before.
Related: For all the backlash against Bud Light for promoting Dylan Mulvaney, this is not the first time they’ve utilized men in dresses to sell beer. Check out these mid-90s commercials featuring mustachioed men who don dresses and wigs to try to score Bud Light on Ladies’ Night, or even more presciently, to win a women’s pool tournament and take the prize of a case of Bud Light away from actual women. FYI, these were considered goofy comedy ads, not a template for the future Biden Administration’s hiring policies.

Also, I think society may have “evolved” enough so that this shocking truth can finally be told: Bud’s hard-partying, beer-swilling dog mascot, Spuds MacKenzie, was played by a female dog.
