President Trump posted this Wednesday on Truth Social: “”Not only did the FBI steal my Passports in the FBI Raid and Break-in of my home, Mar-a-Lago, but it has just been learned through court filings that they also improperly took my complete and highly confidential medical file and history, with all the bells and whistles (at least they’ll see that I’m very healthy, an absolutely perfect physical specimen!), plus personal Tax Records (illegal to take), and lawyer/client/privileged information, a definite NO, NO. Days of the Soviet Union!”
We love the characteristic touch of humor about his robust physical self. But I wonder if when he wrote this, he’d seen the venomous Wednesday column in the LOS ANGELES TIMES by Robin Abcarian, who has no problem at all with FBI agents pawing through Melania’s intimates as part of this inappropriately broad search of her husband’s things. If he’d seen that, he might have taken a darker tone. (As you know, agents searched 16-year-old Barron’s room as well.) Abcarian says without a molecule of sympathy that if Melania feels “violated,” as she reportedly told friends, it’s her own fault, for being married to this man.
We won’t be linking to the LA TIMES column, thank-you-very-much, but here are a few quotes courtesy of FOX NEWS:
“Melania never felt comfortable in the role of First Lady, and it was always painful to watch her strained interactions with her husband. And yet, even while she seemed sometimes an object of pity, she was not a particularly sympathetic figure. She left office as the least popular First Lady since such surveys were conducted.”
“While it’s unsettling to have strangers paw through your closets and unmentionables, the unprecedented search of Melania’s closet and bedroom was legal. The warrant applied to all the rooms of Trump’s residence –- his office, his storage rooms, and all other rooms or areas within the premises used or available to be used by [Trump] and his staff.’”
[Editorial aside: Not so fast; courts may find that this abusive, general-warrant-style search was quite inappropriately broad and violated the Fourth Amendment.]
More: “This is simply the price you pay when you are married to a sticky-handed former President who is unable to grasp the difference between things that belong to him and things that do not.”
“Turns out you have to put up with the occasional search warrant in service of the occasional suspected felony. And the occasional besmirching of your panties by government hands, even gloved ones.”
“Melania Trump may have felt besmirched by the FBI rifling through her drawers. But the blame is squarely on her husband. Acting as if he is above the law, he brought the FBI to Mar-a-Lago in the first place.”
If that weren’t enough, there’s even a lame quip about their sex life: “It’s her bedroom. Even her husband isn’t allowed in her bedroom. Well, then, where do they….ah, never mind.”
Abcarian apparently believes every leak from the government and presumesTrump guilty even after the FBI is known to have FRAMED him for being an agent of Putin, with allegations built out of thin air, first to keep him from becoming President and later to tie his hands legally and get him impeached and/or jailed. Her reaction was just what Democrat leadership wants: the raid itself telegraphing that Trump must be guilty of something terrible.
Melania was treated so shamefully –- so hatefully –- from the moment her husband announced for President that it’s amazing she still supports him in whatever he decides to do politically. Yet she does. I guarantee you that if President Obama had been targeted by the FBI for such a broad, invasive, shock-and-awe raid, writers like Robin Abcarian would never leap to assume his guilt, as they’ve done in Trump’s case. No, they’d be defending him to the skies, calling for everyone involved to be drawn-and-quartered, and screaming at the slightest violation of personal space suffered by Michelle and their two daughters. If Trump had been President at the time of such a raid, take that reaction to the tenth power.
On the other hand, a raid of Obama’s private home, or even just a normal knock-on-the-door search, would never have taken place, no matter what.
You know the saying, “When you point at me, there are three fingers pointing back at you.” That’s what’s happening here. The people calling Trump and his supporters “evil,” "fascist" and “threats to democracy” are showing themselves to be those very things. They hardly try to hide it any longer. Every day, we see more of the man behind the curtain, and he’s not the kindly would-be wizard; he’s more like “The Picture Of Dorian Gray.”
In case you haven’t watched MSNBC in a while, you might not realize, but it’s time to point out that these TDS-infected leftists who have been leading the attack on Trump (and us) for so long are horrible, horrible people. I don’t like to talk about people that way, but there’s hardly any other way to say it or to explain what they do and say. Hate has eaten away at their brains and their souls.
These people don’t care if the Constitution has to be violated to silence or punish conservatives. They don’t care if there are different standards of ‘justice.’ (In fact, that’s not a bug; it’s a feature!) Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson appeared on Sean Hannity’s TV show Wednesday to talk about what’s happened at the ‘Justice’ Department. He says what we’ve been describing as the two-tier system of ‘justice’ actually has at least three:
–- The tier for Hillary Clinton, Hunter Biden, etc., which offers kid-glove treatment.
–- The tier for mostly non-political Americans.
--- The tier for Democrats’ political opponents, which weaponizes ALL the federal agencies to come after them with a vengeance.
That last one, he said, “is very corrosive to our democracy.” God bless the whistleblowers for coming forward, he said –- the “people of integrity within these agencies who want their agencies restored.” And that’s despite an order from Attorney General Merrick Garland that tries to intimidate them from speaking with members of Congress, which by law they’re supposed to be able to do with whistleblower protection.
Journalist Glenn Greenwald --- who knows the left because he used to be in it --- went on Twitter with a brilliant, must-read examination of how the left is stifling dissent these days, coordinating media with the state. This is a “consortium” of groups, he says, who are exploiting “a series of crises,” including Trump’s election, RussiaGate, January 6, COVID, and even the war in Ukraine to foster new methods of repression. Now, certain topics are just off-limits. (I would add that now, even to question an election outcome is considered to be a threat to democracy.)
Greenwald gets much more specific, with new information about the specific entities trying to crush us with censorship. The work they do is by definition fascist and authoritarian, even as they point fingers at the right. The real enemies, he says, are the mock “journalists” and larger forces conspiring to crush dissent, not your neighbors “who have been deceived into supporting the wrong party or wrong ideology.” He says there’s “a war in the West” over the internet and free expression –- a war being waged against alternative, uncensored media such as Rumble. This is a war over whether dissent will be allowed or whether we’ll live in a “closed propaganda system.”
Again, this is a must-read, very important. Greenwald is dealing with a family health crisis right now, and we want to pray for them and thank him for taking the time to analyze what he sees happening right now in the so-called free world.

Reporter Jeff German was found dead on Sunday after writing an expose about a hostile work environment in the office of Clark County Public Administrator Robert Telles and outing him for an office affair. This was shortly before Nevada’s primary election and Telles, a Democrat, lost his bid for re-election. German was working on a follow-up story about Telles at the time he was killed. He was discovered stabbed to death outside his northwest Las Vegas home.
Telles has now been arrested and charged with his murder. Certainly he deserves the presumption of innocence and a fair trial, and we hope justice will be served.
As for German, he was praised by colleagues at the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL as a tenacious journalist who spent 40 years exposing “corruption and crime perpetrated by politicians, police, attorneys, judges, casino industry leaders and mob figures.” He had an extremely trusted relationship with his sources, they say, and is credited with bringing about policy changes and reforms. These real journalists, the ones with the courage to dig deep and write what they see about people in power regardless of the consequences, are surely our heroes in the war for information we’re fighting right now.
Attention Joe Biden: Stop the mobs
I warned you recently that leftist and anarchist thugs, emboldened by the fact that they are protected from consequences of their horrendous actions by Democrat officials in blue cities, have now taken to carrying guns. And over the weekend, they used them in Portland, Oregon, a town that they and its leftist leaders have destroyed.
Sunday night near the Expo Center, the mob was holding one of their illegal street occupations when an elderly man drove his van onto the scene. Realizing his mistake, he tried to drive away, but one of the thugs fired at least 18 rounds at his van.
The elderly driver was bleeding heavily and appeared to be shot. Police had a hard time getting past the mob but got him to a hospital. Two of the demonstrators were also struck, and one, 20-year-old Cameron Taylor, later died. A GoFundMe campaign for his funeral claims he was “struck by a stray bullet.” But that wasn’t a bullet just flying around, minding its own business. It was one of numerous bullets fired at innocent people by a criminal street thug who is now a murderer.
Attention, President Biden: this is what violent mobs who are a threat to the foundation of our society really look like. They’re not grandparents in red caps or blue collar workers waving American flags. They’re violent, lawless thugs. Now, they’re armed, deadly thugs. And they’re YOURS.
Energy Fight
New figures from the Energy Information Administration show that from last July to this July, the price of natural gas is up 30% and electricity is up 15% (say, wasn’t July the month when Biden said there was “zero inflation”?) Consequently, one in six Americans are now behind on their utility bills and in danger of having their service cut off.
Meanwhile, the Democrats’ solution to this is to continue to push the Green New Deal and tell people to buy electric cars. Oh, and that reminds me: here’s the latest story about an electric car:
And here’s the latest news from the state that’s leading other blue states over the cliff of mandating nothing but electric cars in the future. Hope you can charge one with static electricity by rubbing your feet on the carpet or balloons on your head.

Steve Bannon, indicted
Former Trump associate Steve Bannon has been indicted by New York authorities on charges similar to those he was already pardoned for on the federal level by Trump.

Bannon pulled no punches in describing this as a partisan hit job on all Trump supporters just prior to the midterm elections and also insisted that it will not intimidate him into silence.
As for whether there is any substance to the charges, who knows? I’ll reserve judgement until I see the evidence, if there is any, or if that even matters anymore when it’s New York legal authorities dealing with Trump associates.
A Pennsylvania Senate Race Update and more
In Pennsylvania, Democrat Senate candidate John Fetterman has refused to debate Dr. Mehmet Oz, and is apparently relying on the media to cover for him. But as more and more information has come out about his far-left and frankly weird background and previous stances; and as his baffling public appearances have sparked concerns about his mental fitness for the job following his recent stroke.
So far, Fetterman has largely been following the Joe Biden model of hiding in his basement and letting the media campaign for him, but the protective walls are starting to crumble. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette just ran an op-ed admitting that Dr. Oz has raised “legitimate concerns” about Fetterman’s health, and a debate is “critical to voters.”
Refusing to debate seems to be something of a trend this year, and it’s happening on both sides. I think all candidates should have to stand up, face each other and defend their positions. That’s providing, of course, that it’s a fair and non-partisan debate and not the kind of one-sided, DNC-choreographed donkey show that the Presidential debates have devolved into.
Personally, I suspect that when Democrats refuse to debate their Trump-endorsed rivals, it’s not just because they can’t defend their own positions but because they’re afraid of blowing their entire false narrative. To listen to the media (something I don’t suggest; we do it so you don’t have to), all Republican candidates, particularly those “Ultra-MAGA” wackos endorsed by Trump, are a bunch of dumb, knuckle-dragging, anti-science morons. It would implode the entire fantasy world they’ve created if viewers actually got to see and hear those candidates unfiltered.
I’ll give you a perfect example: in Michigan, Democrats poured money into helping Trump-endorsed candidate John Gibbs win his House primary because they thought he’d be easier to beat. Maybe that’s because he’s black and they’re racists, but also because they think they can paint him as a wild-eyed EXTREMIST!!

I wonder if they realized how incredibly articulate and intelligent he is, or that this person they would love to smear as a know-nothing has degrees from both Stanford and Harvard, worked at HUD managing an $8 billion annual budget, worked in cyber security for Apple, and taught himself several languages, including fluent Japanese while overseeing missionaries in Japan? When you know all that, it becomes a lot harder to believe it when he’s called a dummy on Twitter by underemployed gender studies majors living in their parents’ basements.
Biden's approval drops
We now have the first poll taken after President Biden went full-Mussolini and denounced “MAGA Republicans” (or anyone who disagrees with him, really) as a threat to democracy and extremists who threaten “the very foundations of our republic.” I think it’s safe to say that this was not a smart strategy.
In the new Trafalgar poll, 56.8% of likely voters agreed that Biden’s divisive attack on Trump voters is “a dangerous escalation in rhetoric and is designed to incite conflict amongst Americans.” Only 35.5 said it was “acceptable” campaign rhetoric that’s expected in an election year. Most of those were Democrats, who have been so marinated in hateful rhetoric about Trump supporters that they can’t even see how horrifying Biden’s mini-Nuremburg rally was to anyone remotely objective.
Among Independents whom the Democrats need to attract to win elections, 62.4% thought it was a dangerous escalation of rhetoric. The latest YouGov poll also shows Biden’s approval rating among Independents sinking to an abysmal 26.7%, with 64.1% disapproving.
And if you think that sounds bad, note that the Trafalgar poll sample was Democrats +4, so it actually oversampled people who approve of it.
Sounds like there are even more enemies of democracy out there than Biden thought!
