Many people love Disney because they think of it as a Fantasyland where they can escape the ugly, divisive politics of today. But that might be because you don’t work for Disney, since according to anonymous whistleblowers, it’s more like living in a leftist, race-obsessed nightmare fantasyland.

Employees of the Disney Corporation complain that the political environment inside the company has become intolerably "woke" and Orwellian, with constant memos, suggested readings and seminars pushing “social justice,” gay and trans rights, and racist “anti-racist” indoctrination. Disney has even created a new “diversity and inclusion” program with the chilling name, “Reimagine Tomorrow” that sounds like something out of a Chinese reeducation camp. Straight, white employees are pressured to confess their racism and homophobia, and told that ideas like believing in a colorblind society or saying, “All lives matter” or “I was taught to treat everyone the same” are “as evidence of the participant’s internalized racism and white fragility.” (Yes, if you say you're not a racist, it's proof you're a racist. I think Disney got this straight from the Mad Hatter.)

They’re also told to “reject ‘equality’ which merely means ‘equal treatment and access to opportunities.’ Rather, they should aim for ‘equity,’ which means ‘the equality of outcome.’” Since that’s pure communism, I assume Goofy came up with it.

Okay, since Disney is practically torturing its employees into confessing their imaginary sins, let’s take a look at whether the people imposing this lunacy are living up to it themselves.

Disney’s new CEO Bob Chapek (60) and former CEO/now Executive Chairman Bob Iger (70) are two straight, white guys who were paid, respectively, $14 million and $21 million in 2020, even while theme parks and theaters were closed due to the pandemic and thousands of lower level Disney employees were being laid off. At least they didn’t take bonuses that year. Still, it doesn't sound like they believe in "equity" of outcomes.

In 2019, Disney heiress Abigail Disney called Iger’s pay package “insane,” pointing out that it was 1,424 times the median Disney employee’s salary. She noted that Iger could have given every Disneyland employee a 15% raise just out of his bonus alone and still had $10 million left over.

So here’s my suggestion: instead of trying to Torquemada your workers into repenting of their racism and white privilege, how about putting your money where your mouse is? I’ll bet the guy who has to wear that sweaty Mickey Mouse costume thinks he works as hard as Bob Iger. So if Disney really believes in “equity,” how about giving him half of Iger’s salary?

After all, it’s what they claim to believe in. In case you never noticed, Mickey Mouse is black.

I may be naive, but I can't imagine that Walt Disney would ever have imagined his family-centered entertainment empire would become so grotesquely twisted into something so vile in intent. Everyone should shun this malignancy until it returns to its original, family-first goal.

I am very disappointed in Disney's far left liberal direction. My husband and I started going to Disneyland in the 80's when we were both in the Navy, stationed in San Diego. We frequently attended the park and had numerous over nights at their hotel. We bought into their Vacation Club in the early 90's and have been going to Disney World since then. So, to see these radical changes such as "Gender Neutral" Disney characters is an utter disappointment in the company. We are re-evaluating whether we are continuing our membership and visits to the parks ans resorts.

The Disney family should have kept hold of Disneyland and Disney World and never let it go.
