TRUE THE VOTE: How we can respond to courtroom travesty
My readers are to be commended for wising up not only to what the left is doing to control dissent --- especially ahead of an election --- but also to ways we can take action and make our condemnation unmistakably clear. Here’s one example, a letter that came in response to our story about Gregg Phillips and Catherine Engelbrecht of True The Vote being found in contempt and jailed for not revealing the source who gave them information about voting software company Konnech.
From Donna S:
I found some contact information ... for the United States District and Bankruptcy Court --- Southern District of Texas .........Senior Judge Kenneth M. Hoyt ordered Catherine Engelbrecht and Gregg Phillips to jail yesterday for not revealing a source is my understanding. here Houston Division | Southern District of Texas and here Kenneth M. Hoyt (Senior Judge) 713-250-5515.
Case Manager: Cynthia Horace 713-250-5515. I called [that] number this morning and spoke with a very nice woman. I said I did not know the particulars of the case, but expressed my concerns as a citizen of Maryland and of the U.S. that a week before the elections on Nov 8, putting 2 people in jail, who were investigating election issues in the U.S., is not what we want to happen to people who are doing the work of making sure our elections in America are free of cheating. I told her I totally understand that I may not be reaching the correct number to leave such a comment but understood that it was ok and I could comment there. Very grateful. Probably a good idea for many more people to call and leave their concerns as well. One concern I forget to mention in my comment to the court is that I would like to see the U.S. government do their own investigation with the billions of dollars we pay them as taxpayers to do this type of work, and uncover / double check the information they want to know, that True the Vote uncovered with their investigation.
Thank you, Donna. That last point is a great one, by the way, considering all the resources that are currently being directed to the investigation of so-called “extremist domestic terrorists” who are nothing of the kind. Attorney General Merrick Garland may like to brag about that, but how about really investigating cases that pose an actual national security threat, such as the sons of Vice Presidents --- and future Presidents --- who take millions of dollars from the Communist Chinese to help them meet the right people and grease the wheels for giant energy deals? That investigation seems half-hearted at best; again, it’s taking other people to do that legwork.
Anyway, the phone number is here in her letter. Residents of Texas, especially (but, come to think of it, from everywhere, as this is a federal court), might want to light up their switchboard --- wow, there’s some old-fashioned imagery --- with calls calmly registering their disgust for what is happening in Judge Hoyt’s courtroom.
I know Catherine Engelbrecht. In fact, she had her first national TV appearance on my FOX NEWS show. Hers was one of those conservative patriot groups targeted by Lois Lerner and the IRS, so if she happens to think the government is out to get her, she’s right! (As they say, you’re not paranoid if it’s really happening.) At this writing, there’s no word on whether she and Gregg Phillips are still behind bars (so I assume they are) or what their attorney is doing to get them released. I’m sure they would very much appreciate your prayers --- and your phone calls.
PROOF: 'Deep State' propagandists enlist Big Tech to do their bidding
The collaboration we’ve known was going on between government and Big Tech to silence dissenting speech has just been documented in some knockout reporting from THE INTERCEPT. It’s all there, as revealed by internal memos, emails and official papers, some of which emerged via a lawsuit filed by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt, a Republican who’s currently running for Senate. Everything that’s long been suspected about the “deep state” working unconstitutionally to suppress legitimate free speech as “disinformation” is true, and they lay out exactly how it’s done, through “portals” in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FBI.
Their massive effort to dodge the First Amendment comes down to a simple strategy: since government can’t legally police Americans’ speech, especially political speech, they get it done indirectly, by enlisting the aid of NGEs (non-government entities) to do their dirty work for them. This is why Scary Poppins and her “Disinformation Governance Board” were technically telling the truth when they said THEY didn’t censor anything. They were coordinating the work of others who did the censoring, haha. This is a distinction without a difference, though, as it is still wildly unconstitutional. Law professor Jonathan Turley calls it “censorship by surrogate,” saying, “It is axiomatic that the government cannot do indirectly what it is prohibited from doing directly.”
As it turns out, they were sneaking around doing this even while Trump was President. Little did Trump know what he was unleashing when he signed the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Act (CISA). They expanded the concept of infrastructure to include what they call “cognitive infrastructure.” (This shows why control of the language is so important.) THE INTERCEPT –- which is no conservative news outlet –- describes in detail what they have done with that idea
Another report called for expanding their role in shaping the “information ecosystem,” calling on CISA to closely monitor “social media platforms of all sizes, mainstream media, cable news, hyper partisan media, talk radio and other online resources.” They would focus on information that undermines “key democratic institutions, such as the courts, or other sectors such as the financial system, or public health measures.” The head of CISA’s Election Security Initiative --- you read that right --- recommended the use of third-party information-sharing non-profits as a “clearing house for information to avoid the appearance of government propaganda.” Even though that’s exactly what it is.
What we knew about the FBI going to Facebook warning them about a “Russian disinformation” event just ahead of the Hunter Biden laptop story breaking appears to have been business-as-usual for them. The INTERCEPT report offers more detail about their suppression of that story as well, even naming names of the agents involved. This was plainly 2020 election interference, without even having to go near a voting machine or drop-box. And much of their work is tied to elections. Why, in 2018, the DHS created the Countering Foreign Influence Task Force just to respond to “election disinformation.”
Homeland Security had the equivalent of a hotline to Twitter to get content flagged or taken down, for “national security” reasons, of course. And they were so overzealous, they were even going after parody accounts and tiny accounts with just a handful of followers. Must...suppress...everything! This is the sort of activity you’d expect to find in a country like Putin’s Russia or any communist dictatorship with state-run media, but the fact that it’s this bad and this entrenched in what used to be the good ol’ USA should shock the tar out of every American from sea to shining sea.
Some of the communications from people involved in this effort are chilling. Example: “Platforms have got to get comfortable with gov’t. It’s really interesting how hesitant they remain.” That’s a text from Microsoft executive Matt Masterson to Jen Easterly, a DHS director.
This is tyranny. And THE INTERCEPT’S piece about it is a must-must-read.

They report that the DHS’s mission to fight “disinformation” stems from what was perceived as Russia’s attempts to interfere in the 2016 election. Recall our commentary a few days ago about the Seth Rich homicide in which we pointed out that the entire Russia Hoax was built on the story, unsupported by evidence, that Russia hacked the DNC. It would seem this huge effort to monitor and censor of American citizens is built on that same “Russian hack” story. That's the pretext.
And the DHS, if left unchecked, is apparently just getting started. According to a draft copy of their Homeland Security Review, the department plans to target “inaccurate information” on a wide variety of topics, including “the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic and the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccines, racial justice, U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, and the nature of U.S. support to Ukraine.” In other words, they want to control the conversation regarding some of the most loaded and subjective political topics we would want to discuss. And their idea of what is “inaccurate” might be very different from ours.
If (when!) the “red tsunami” really does happen on election day, the new Congress has to get started immediately dismantling the bureaucracy responsible for this. It’s hard to imagine a solution that doesn’t involve breaking up the FBI and DHS entirely. A GOP-majority Congress will have the power of the purse and can withhold funding, while a veto-proof Congress could write new legislation setting up new agencies. It must be done. With the exception of those who have come forward as whistleblowers, both agencies are a disgrace.
Dan Bongino opened his Tuesday podcast with the INTERCEPT story, asking, “How is this not on the front page of every newspaper in America right now?!” It should be, and the reason it isn't --- namely, the left’s takeover of just about every major news outlet --- is another issue. Bongino pointed to a poll cited by the NEW YORK POST saying 79 percent thought that “truthful coverage of the Hunter Biden story would have changed the 2020 election.” Recall also the much earlier poll in which 19 percent of Biden voters said they’d have changed their vote if they’d known about Hunter Biden.
And that’s precisely why the FBI hid the evidence and suppressed the story.

No time for complacency
The midterm elections are now less than a week away. If you are voting Republican (and I assume you probably are), do NOT let this “red wave” talk make you complacent.
We need every vote, not only to win in closely-contested and gerrymandered districts and overcome any wholly imaginary voter fraud, but also to drive home the point that the people who spent the past two years swinging sledge hammers at the foundations of America are not merely fired, they are FIRED!!!!
I especially want to address Christian readers who are thinking of not voting. It’s estimated that in the 2016 election, 25 million Christians didn’t vote. I assume that many millions of Christians also sat out the 2020 election, since about 80 million Americans who were qualified to vote didn’t.
Since 2020 and the ascent to power of the new radical Democrat Party, Christians and Christian moral values have been under assault from every angle – from shutting down churches during the pandemic to arresting pro-life activists to putting pornographic sexual materials into schools to indoctrinating children with trans propaganda to forcing parents to allow their children to be permanently disfigured with drugs and surgery. If ever there was a time to rise up and throw these people out of the temple, it is now.
Vote, nag your conservative friends and family members to vote, offer to drive them to the polls if necessary (reminding them all the way there of how much you had to pay for the gas), and volunteer to poll-watch. You’ll want to bring your camera along, just in case. You never know what you might see, like a “completely secure and trustworthy” ballot drop box with the key left in the lock so that anyone who happens along can open it.
Here’s what can happen if Republicans keep on the offensive and refuse to be steamrolled: the Pennsylvania Supreme Court just banned the counting of undated or misdated absentee ballots in the upcoming election.
Democrats will no doubt scream that this is “voter suppression,” but it’s actually faulty ballot suppression, which is not the same thing. All the Court did was affirm that vote counters must follow the state law, passed by the legislature, which bars the counting of undated and misdated absentee ballots.
As RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel put it, “Now, Democrats have to follow the law.” I know that must be a shock to them, since their attitude is that laws are only enforced against Republicans, and with an iron hand. Only after a fair election can we start dismantling their two-tiered justice system, and they can once again go back to obeying the same laws all the rest of us have to follow.
Biden's "Hail Mary" pass
There’s officially less than one week remaining until the 2022 midterm elections, and Democrats are so panicked at realizing they made a YUUUGE mistake by running on nothing but unrestricted abortion and January 6th obsession that they’re desperate for a “Hail Mary” pass to save them. I predict this will not be it.

It was announced this morning that President Biden will make an unscheduled speech at the Capitol today. The subject wasn’t revealed, but since a White House official said it’s because “that's where there was an attempt to subvert our Democracy,” I think we can all guess what’s coming. Shouldn’t the SPCA step in and stop him from beating this dead horse?
You’d think the Democrats would have Biden out campaigning in once-safe major races, but only if you didn’t know what a train wreck his rally speeches have become. That’s why they’re sending him as far away from really important races as possible. Just in the past couple of days, he’s added these comments to an ever-more-worrying list of “senior moments”...
He said “Iraq war” when he meant “Ukraine,” then said he was thinking of Iraq because that’s where his son Beau died (he didn’t die there)…he thought Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was in the Senate…falsely claimed to have attended a historically black college (it reminded me of Steve Martin’s comedy bit, “I started out as a poor black child”)…and claimed he spoke to the man who “invented insulin.” Credit for discovering insulin could go to three or four people, all of whom died before 1978, and two of whom died before Biden was even born.

It’s said that the day after Election Day will mark the beginning of the 2024 Presidential race. I suspect that even top Democrats are finally starting to realize that whoever the Republican nominee is, he or she won’t be running against Joe Biden, and by 2024, might not even be replacing Joe Biden.
Fetterman clings to a one-point lead in some polls
Speaking of Pennsylvania, some polls still show John Fetterman leading in the Senate race over Dr. Mehmet Oz by one point, which is within the margin of error. It's beyond me how anyone can think Fetterman should be anywhere other than home resting and getting therapy, much less in the Senate. His argument was that voters suspected Joe Biden had cognitive issues, and they elected him. Yes, and look how it’s worked out. And he’s only been in office for two years. A Senator’s term is SIX years!
Reminder to Pennsylvania voters: You get only TWO representatives for your state’s interests in the Senate. Do you want half of them to be nothing but a rubber stamp for the radical national Democrat Party and New York’s Senator, Chuck Schumer?
I heard one Democrat on TV claiming that Fetterman is getting better every day and will be fine in the Senate. See if his answer to this question makes you confident that’s true.
