In case Jonathan Turley and Alan Dershowitz haven’t offered enough criticism of the “financial records” case against Trump --- “Where’s the crime??” --- presided over by Judge Juan Merchan, listen to Hans von Spakovsky of the Election Law Reform Initiative, also a senior legal fellow in the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies at The Heritage Foundation. He says Manhattan DA Bragg has “no legal leg to stand on.”
He starts with “Federal Campaign Finance Law for Dummies 101” to show quite clearly that payments made by attorney Michael Cohen to Stormy Daniels were not a campaign-related expense. Then he shows how the whole thing unravels. Here we go…
