Hurricane Ian Update
Here’s today’s link to Fox News’ continually-updated news on Hurricane Ian:
https://www.foxnews.com/live-
As of early Saturday morning, about 2 million people were without electricity due to the widespread destruction caused by Hurricane Ian. Around 1.3 million are in Florida, with hundreds of thousands more in South Carolina, where Ian came ashore again on Friday. In addition to the devastation from the storm itself, there are concerns of other lingering effects, like a possible levee break in Sarasota County. And part of I-75 there was closed due to rising river water. But rescue and restoration efforts are moving at full speed, with the Jacksonville Port Authority announcing that it’s already reopened to keep the supply chain flowing for Florida, Puerto Rico and other communities.
Gov. DeSantis is determined that there will be no exploitation of hurricane victims in Florida. Showing that he has no tolerance of the blue state model of governance, he said, "We are a law and order state, and this is a law and order community. So do not think that you're going to take advantage of people who've suffered misery…Don't even think about looting." To those who might be thinking of ransacking someone’s home, he reminded them, “I would not want to chance that if I were you — given that we're a Second Amendment state."
Finally, please pray for those who were struck by the hurricane, and those who still are in its path. And consider a donation to Samaritan’s Purse, which is always among the first on the scene to render aid in times of natural disasters: http://www.samaritanspurse.org
Sharing: Two Prayers from our Prayer Tree
Please be in fervent prayer for the residents of Florida. They have experienced profound devastation and are in need of our prayers and financial support.
The Floridians who are struggling to put their lives back together! And praising all the Emergency Response teams and praying for everyone's safety and That they feel Gods presence during this time!

Ginni Thomas Update
The House January 6th Kangaroo Kommittee insisted on hearing from Ginni Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and on Thursday, she complied, and they discovered why you should be very careful what you wish for.
Democrats and fake Republicans on the Kommittee are trying to tar Mrs. Thomas as an “election denier” who colluded with the Trump team and lobbied her husband to block Biden’s certification, obviously as a way of fueling their insane drive to impeach her husband for defending the Constitution. Sorry if that sounds partisan, but I’m just calling it the way I see it. But if that was the plan, it backfired in their faces like Laurel and Hardy’s Model T.
While her testimony wasn’t aired, reports are that she answered every question and acquitted herself well. She also began with an opening statement that obliterated all the false charges and malicious rumors this “fact-finding” group has been fanning. Quote:
“Regarding the 2020 election, I did not speak with him (Justice Thomas) at all about the details of my volunteer campaign activities. And I did not speak with him at all about the details of my post-election activities, which were minimal, in any event. I am certain I never spoke with him about any of the legal challenges to the 2020 election, as I was not involved with those challenges in any way…And I know he was completely unaware of my texts with Mark Meadows until this Committee leaked them to the press while he was in a hospital bed fighting an infection.”
“Let me also add, it is laughable for anyone who knows my husband to think I could influence his jurisprudence – the man is independent and stubborn, with strong character traits of independence and integrity.”
She also said her husband is uninterested in politics, that it’s an “iron-clad rule in our home” that she never speaks to him about pending SCOTUS cases, and “I generally do not discuss with him my day-to-day work in politics, the topics I am working on, who I am calling, emailing, texting or meeting.”
As for those texts, her attorney said, “Mrs. Thomas had significant concerns about fraud and irregularities in the 2020 election” (note: as do more than half of Americans) and “told the Committee her minimal and mainstream activity focused on ensuring that reports of fraud and irregularities were investigated. Beyond that, she played no role in any events after the 2020 election results.”
To sum up: she is an American citizen who was exercising her First Amendment right to speak out about a public issue that was of pressing concern to her. You wouldn’t know it from the actions of this Kommittee, but that’s actually still legal in the United States of America.
“Tag, you’re It”
Alex Parker at Redstate.com reports that the childhood phrase “Tag, you’re It” has a whole different meaning in the San Francisco Unified School District. Public schools there are so obsessed with pushing radical gender ideology onto students that they’ve endorsed a veritable smorgasbord of invented sexual identities for kids, from “pansexual” to “lesbi-flexible,” and if a kid just can’t identify with any gender, their pronoun might be “It.”
So if you want schools that confuse your children about their sexual identities while hiding all this from parents, and who are okay with calling your child an “It,” by all means, keep them in San Francisco public schools. If you want them to be mentally healthy and literate, make other arrangements.
PS – As long as you’re making those arrangements, you might want to get out of California entirely.
“Democrats Say Racist Things"
It’s time for this weekend’s edition of “Democrats Say Racist Things.” First up is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who expressed her argument for not sending illegal immigrants north to blue states this way:
“We have a shortage of workers in our country and you see even in Florida, some of the farmers and the growers say ‘Why are you shipping these immigrants up North? We need them to pick the crops down here.’”
I guess she didn’t consider all the rich liberals up north who also need them to do their housework and landscaping for less than they’d have to pay American citizens.
And that brings us to Vice President Kamala Harris, who raised a storm of her own by suggesting that hurricane relief should be based on “equity,” with certain victimhood identity groups getting favored status.
I guess she never read what Jesus said, that God “makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.” In other words, the hurricane hit everyone equally. It didn’t target minorities and LGBTQ+++ people. It wasn’t a racist hurricane, even if “Ian” does sound like the name of a white, European male.
That link has more brain drool from VP Harris, along with a good explanation of why the push for “equity” over “equality” is unfair, un-American and frankly idiotic. It also has the response to Harris from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ team: “FALSE…FEMA individual assistance is available to those impacted by Hurricane Ian regardless of race or background.”
Wow, offering help to all who need it, regardless of race. Sounds downright…equitable.
A Trump Court Victory
Former President Trump’s attorneys scored a victory in court Thursday when US District Judge Eileen Cannon overruled retired Judge Raymond Dearie, the Special Master appointed to the case. Dearie had ordered Trump’s team to provide their “final” objections or disputes to the accuracy of the FBI’s list of items seized in the raid on his Mar-A-Lago home by Friday. His attorneys argued that there are more than 11,000 pages of records to review, and they don’t know if the FBI planted anything there, since nobody was allowed to watch them during the raid.
https://www.westernjournal.
Judge Cannon agreed that Dearie had exceeded his authority and that Trump’s attorneys must be allowed to review the documents before testifying to their accuracy (you know: as if he actually had rights.) She rescinded the order and extended the deadline for reviewing the documents to December 16. Side note: that’s after the election, so Democrats can stop pushing ridiculous rumors that Trump is going to be arrested any minute now for things that aren’t even crimes.
More details at the link, and I’m sure we’ll have more on this story next week.
