DAILY BIBLE VERSE
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.”

1. Prosecute/Fauci
By Mike Huckabee
Normally, I just roll my eyes at this “preferred pronoun” nonsense, but I have to admit, I really like Elon Musk’s pronoun choices: “Prosecute/Fauci.” I have a feeling that the next dump of internal Twitter documents is going to explain why he chose those.
2. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss
By Mike Huckabee
Well, Los Angeles has a new mayor, and to quote the Who, meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Apparently, that’s what Angelinos keep voting for, in the expectation that if they just keep electing far-left "progressive" mayors over and over, somehow the results will be different. There’s a quote from Albert Einstein that describes that, but I’ll let you look it up.
3. It is time for America to wake up
By Mike Huckabee
A retired Navy SEAL who came out as trans nearly 10 years ago became a big celebrity on liberal media outlets like CNN because the story helped promote the trans agenda they were pushing. I wonder if they’ll give as much publicity to these latest comments by Chris Beck, formerly known as Kristen Beck, who is “detransitioning” back to living as a man:
Calling on Americans to “wake up” about how transgender medical procedures are harming children and teens, Beck said, "Everything you see on CNN with my face, do not even believe a word of it. Everything that happened to me for the last 10 years destroyed my life. I destroyed my life. I'm not a victim. I did this to myself, but I had help. I take full responsibility. I went on CNN and everything else, and that’s why I’m here right now. I’m trying to correct that."
Let's make it clear: when he says he had help destroying his life, he means from media outlets like CNN. A lot of people could make the same claim about CNN, but for him, it was especially personal.
4. This county sheriff needs to stop talking
By Mike Huckabee
The Sheriff of Santa Cruz County, Arizona, is threatening to arrest anyone for illegal dumping who brings more shipping containers to create a makeshift border security wall on orders of Gov. Ducey. He claims that’s federal land and the state has no power to defy the federal government.
There are all sorts of legal arguments you could make about whether the state has the right to secure the border and repel an invasion when the President refuses to do his sworn duty of enforcing federal immigration and border security laws. But one thing is certain: a county sheriff has no jurisdiction over either of them.
Of course, if Katie Hobbs succeeds in her push to become Governor, border security will be a moot point, since she’s already signaled that she considers the border to be a federal issue and her first day priority will be to call a special session to overturn the anti-abortion law. So good luck to Kari Lake’s lawyers.
5. Know-nothings about guns
By Mike Huckabee
It’s a recurring theme here that the people who issue the most demands for more gun control laws know the least about guns of anyone on Earth. President Biden, for example, recently declared that he wants to limit “the number of bullets in a cartridge.” That’s just gibberish.
The latest example comes courtesy of the New York Times, which illustrated one of their frequent diatribes about AR-15 rifles with a photo of shotgun shells. Elmer Fudd knows more about guns than that.
Incidentally, the thrust of that article was trying to blame rampant gun violence on Republican politicians who allegedly “fetishize” AR-15s. I get no particular kinky thrill from an AR-15, but I do know that the places suffering from rampant gun violence aren’t run by Republicans. If the writers at the New York Times are afraid to leave their building for fear of being murdered in the streets by armed criminals and gang members, they might want to take that up with the Democrats who have destroyed the city by letting them all out of jail. You know, the Democrats they keep working so hard to elect.
6. A Nuclear Fusion breakthrough
By Mike Huckabee
Scientists at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California have reportedly made a breakthrough in the long-sought creation of nuclear fusion, the energy that powers the sun. It's claimed that they achieved a net energy gain in a fusion reaction for the first time.
While fusion energy is still at least decades away, such a breakthrough could mean that one day, a small cup of hydrogen fuel could power a home for hundreds of years with no CO2 emissions or radioactive waste.
While we all should be celebrating this news and praying for further fusion breakthroughs, I suspect that the green movement is already thinking up ways to protest and kill it. You’d think that having an endless source of clean energy for everyone on Earth would be a godsend, but the true aim of the radical environmental movement is not boundless clean energy, it’s control.
If they really cared about the environment, they’d demand that we build more safe, modern, non-CO2-emitting nuclear plants instead of blighting the Earth with bird-killing wind turbines and solar panels that create huge amounts of pollution in their manufacture. Instead, they’re shutting nuclear plants down. Their true goal is fewer people, and for those who remain to live small, stunted lives with no freedoms, like being able to travel or improve their living conditions, all enforced by themselves, of course. Boundless clean energy would mean more freedom and opportunity for every human being. That’s the last thing the radical green movement wants.
