300 to go
We'd like to keep the newsletter going but can't if we don't reach our monthly paid subscriber goal: we have to find 419 paying subscribers by the end of this month to keep the lights on.
As a free subscriber, I hope you will consider upgrading today.
I wanted to offer you the ability to receive my politics newsletter for the low price of $3.75 monthly or $27 annually as a gift to yourself. Just hit this link below, to receive my newsletter at the discounted rate:
I started this newsletter back in the fall of 2016 just ahead of President Trump's election over Hillary Clinton. Since then, I have chronicled his presidency, a nation grappling with COVID, woke ideology, elections, more elections, Congress and finally Joe Biden's presidency.
My team and I like to say that we read the news, so you don't have to. We spend late nights and early mornings, finding news we think is important for you to read, and then we add our two cents and sometimes three cents to help frame things.
It's hard work and time consuming, but we love to do it, and I hope you like to read it enough to pay for a subscription!
Sincerely,
Mike Huckabee

“Huckabee” Preview
Join me tonight for a news-making episode of “Huckabee” on TBN! I’ll welcome political strategist Dick Morris to talk about his extremely timely new book on Biden family corruption. Former Lockheed president and Navy SEAL Tom Burbage will share the incredible story of the development of the F-35, the most advanced military jet of all time. You’ll laugh with comedian Maureen Langan and be moved by a gorgeous Christmas carol from gospel/R&B sensation, Victory. I’ll also have an update on the tornado damage in Tennessee, including to our theater.
Incidentally, I tell you every week how I support Samaritans Purse for being first on the scene in times of disaster, but I never thought they’d need to show up to help our own community. But they were right there! It makes me very proud to support them, and I hope you will, too (https://www.samaritanspurse.org.)
Be there tonight at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and Sunday at 9 EST/8 CST on TBN. Worse than you think
We are assured that Hunter Biden has overcome his drug problems, but it’s hard to believe he wasn’t tripping on something when he thought that it was a good idea to make a big, grandstanding speech at the Senate and insult House investigators while defying their subpoena. Commentators are buzzing about how this could be yet another anchor on his father’s reelection bid.
In this must-read article, legal scholar Jonathan Turley explains how it’s actually worse than it’s being painted.
Not only has Hunter opened himself up to arrest and prosecution, but White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre had a typical bout of verbal diarrhea and let slip that Joe knew what Hunter was going to say. So not only was Hunter illegally defying a Congressional subpoena, but the President discussed it with him in advance? As Democrats would say if Trump did that, it sounds like a conspiracy to obstruct justice.
Read it to get the full story from a legal expert’s standpoint. Me, I’m just amazed that of all the staggering incompetents Biden has appointed to important posts and who have done incalculable damage to the nation, the one that might ultimately bring down his presidency could be the one whose only job was just to talk.
Jaw-dropping
A DC jury ordered Rudy Giuliani to pay the jaw-dropping amount of nearly $150 million in damages for allegedly defaming mother-and-daughter Georgia election workers by saying they counted ballots multiple times.
The stacked nature of the trial was obvious. Guiliani was found liable for failing to respond to the lawsuit for not turning over documents that he says he had no access to because prosecutors in another case wouldn’t release them. The plaintiffs gave emotional testimony about how they’d suffered threats from Internet wackos that they blamed on Guiliani's words. And the jury awarded damages multiple times the amount the plaintiffs requested.
Of course, there will be an appeal. After the verdict, Guiliani said, “I don’t regret a damn thing,” adding, “The absurdity of the number underscores the absurdity of the entire proceedings. I am quite confident when this case gets before a fair tribunal, it'll be reversed so quickly, it'll make your head spin.”
Graphic story
It seems that reporting on what’s happening in places run by Democrats is requiring me, more and more often, to attach warnings and disclaimers of offensive adult content, whether I’m reporting on gay porn in elementary schools or human feces on sidewalks. Well, here’s one that requires a great, big content WARNING:
A staffer for Democrat Sen. Ben Cardin is under scrutiny after a video surfaced of an alleged homemade porn tape of him having sex with his gay partner in a Senate hearing room. While Republicans are probably calling on the cleaning staff to disinfect the meeting table, the staffer in question played the Hunter Biden victim card, claiming he’s being “attacked for whom I love” (no, for WHERE you’re loving him), and insisting he would never disrespect his workplace and any attempts to characterize his actions otherwise are “fabricated.” If he’s saying the tape is a deep fake, then I’m willing to listen, because that’s a curse we’re going to have to learn to deal with, but let’s see some proof.
Interestingly, Sen. Cardin, who condemned January 6th rioters by describing the Capitol as a “sacred space,” brushed this incident off as a “personnel matter” and refused to comment. Frankly, given the choice, I think I’d rather have someone riot on my desk.
On the subject of unrepeatable stories involving Democrats, Bill Clinton made news with an accurate but unprintable quote about the incompetence of his wife's 2016 presidential campaign. Sorry, but I'm not even going to link to that one. Just search for it if you want to know; I guarantee it'll pop up.
“Least Surprising News of the Day”
Yesterday’s “Least Surprising News of the Day” was a study finding that the college students who are most passionate about supporting the Palestinians against Israel are the ones who know the least about the situation. Today’s is another study, this time finding that practicing, church-going Christians are significantly more likely (95%) to donate to charity than non-practicing Christians (68%) or non-Christians (51%.)
The study also contained the sad news that only about one-in-five Americans these days are practicing, church-going Christians. That’s unfortunate news both for charities and for four-out-of-five Americans.
Arizona Governor does a 180 on immigration
Ever since her controversial election as Governor of Arizona, Democrat Katie Hobbs has been under a cloud of suspicion with Republicans. But it turns out they have something in common. Even she’s so fed up with President Biden’s refusal to do his job and stop the invasion of illegal entrants, she announced that she’s sending the National Guard to the border to secure it herself.
UPDATE:
The L.A. Medical Examiner finally released a report on the cause of death for “Friends” star Matthew Perry. It wasn’t drowning in a hot tub, although that was a contributing factor. The root cause was found to be “acute effects of ketamine,” a prescription drug he was given for depression and anxiety that likely caused him to lapse into unconsciousness in the tub. The death was ruled an accident. It’s a very sad story on every level.
