2. Manchin vows to roll it back:
Latest blow to OSHA’s vaccine mandate (and this one’s going to sting a little, Democrats): Sen. Joe Manchin announced that he’ll vote with all 50 Republicans for a resolution of disapproval to roll it back.
3. "These go to Eleven"
Watch Biden spokesperson Jen Psaki try to convince us that the rampant lawlessness in blue cities that includes cop killings and organized smash-and-grab robberies that strip stores of merchandise is due to (A.) rising gun ownership (which had been rising for years as crime fell, until leftwing DA’s legalized crime and started letting all the criminals out of jail) and (B.) the pandemic.
I might agree with (B.), as long as we define the spreading infection of leftist, Soros-backed prosecutors as a “pandemic.”
Here’s a good New York Post op-ed making the point with more details that if the Biden White House really wants to find the “root cause” of the current crime wave, they should start by looking in the mirror.
https://nypost.com/2021/12/02/team-biden-you-cant-blame-looting-gangs-on-covid-and-trump
Ms Psaki also had trouble Friday on MSNBC’s morning show, where she came to talk about the economy and was surprised on air by the announcement that only 210,000 jobs had been created in November when economists expected 573,000.
Psaki protested that she couldn’t comment on that until after 9:30. Proving that coming up with feeble excuses for failure is an art that takes time.
As this story notes, despite excuses such as COVID, economists aren’t certain why so few people took jobs when employers were begging for applicants. I have a theory: maybe people in blue cities have figured out that they don’t need to work anymore because they can just steal everything off of store shelves for free.
4. It's finally official:
Republicans will take over control of the Virginia House. That’s how it appeared on Election Day, but Democrats, obviously wishing to assault democracy, demanded recounts in two close races they’d lost. If they’d prevailed, it would have been a 50-50 split House. But on Friday, a three-judge panel ruled that the 85th District recount showed Republican Karen Greenhalgh did beat incumbent Democrat Alax Askew.

So even if the Democrats win the other recount, they’ll still be the minority in the Virginia House. Republicans also swept the races for Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General. Democrats still control the Senate 21-19, and elections won’t be held there until 2023. So Virginians might have to wait a couple of years to get the car back out of the ditch and headed in the right direction, but at least there are finally some people around who can step on the brakes.
5. Note to America: Time to secede from watching MSNBC and CNN:
How terrified are liberals by the popularity and effectiveness of Florida’s Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis? So scared that after he announced plans to form a state guard to help with emergencies like hurricanes (the type of volunteer civilian group that 23 states including New York and California already have), liberal media talking heads and celebrities went berserk, accusing him of being a fascist, totalitarian, authoritarian dictator who wants to form his own military force to secede from America!!!!!!!!
https://www.foxnews.com/media/sarah-silverman-msnbc-joy-reid-ron-desantis-civilian-military-force
You know you’ve gone around the bend and back again when even liberal comedian Sarah Silverman takes to Twitter to tell you to get a grip on reality.
No, Gov. DeSantis is not forming a paramilitary force to secede from America. If you could halfway believe that, it’s time to secede from watching MSNBC and CNN.
6. A new thing to worry about:
Elitists in Washington might scoff that the supply chain problem just means your treadmill will be delivered late, or that it’s a positive sign that the economy is booming and supply can’t keep up with demand. But for those of us who live in Realityville, it means empty store shelves (possibly the only way to stop theft in blue cities) and rising prices. And now, here’s a new thing to worry about: a shortage of prescription medicines.
https://www.foxbusiness.com/economy/supply-chain-issues-pharmacists-what-to-know
Pharmacies warn that they’re running out of important drugs, and the FDA says there are about 111 drugs on backorder, including heart medications, antibiotics and cancer drugs. The FDA is asking drug makers to evaluate their entire supply chains to try to head off shortages.
Some other information in this story that’s worth highlighting: a survey of pharmacies found that 60% of respondents said they’re dealing with supply chain disruptions, nearly 70% are struggling to fill staff positions, 76% are concerned about possible tax increases on small businesses, 64% are worried about inflation, and 41% describe their businesses’ financial health as poor or very poor. Also this: “About 80% of active pharmaceutical ingredients manufacturers are located outside the U.S.”
You’d think that last fact would have been rectified already after we learned that we were depending on medicines made in China to save us from a pandemic made in China.
(Before any liberals try to “cancel” me for saying that, note that Dr. Fauci just slipped up and accidentally spoke the truth by calling the original COVID virus “the Wuhan strain.”)
While the government is pushing drug makers to ensure we don’t run out of prescription medicines, maybe they should also review their policies to ensure we have drugs made here in the USA and that all the pharmacies that sell them aren’t driven out of business.
7. Memo to Winston Smith:
Pull all stories about Stacey Abrams challenging the vote in her 2018 Georgia gubernatorial loss and refusing to concede. Now that she’s running again, she claims that she never challenged the vote and she acknowledged that her opponent won. We have to rewrite history so purge all that from the archives.
8. One exemption to the “Liberals are no longer funny” rule:
The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which released a gut-bustingly funny chart designed to make us thankful to President Biden that gas prices have recently dropped by a whole two cents. A lot of people put in their two cents about that.
