There’s a suspicious backstory to the Biden classified documents scandal, one for which stories about chains of custody and residence visitor logs (which reportedly aren’t kept) are likely being used to provide distraction.
Admittedly, it’s easy to get sidetracked by stories such as this strange one in the WASHINGTON FREE BEACON: We’re as curious as you to know why Hunter Biden, while he was living at his father’s house in Delaware, “ordered a number of products from the auction site Tophatter to be shipped to the home, including a night vision monocular telescope, an anti-police GPS radar detector, a 5-megawatt laser pointer, a 360-degree USB webcam, and a $51 smartphone, according to shipping receipts found on his laptop.” What was Hunter up to?
But for now, let’s stick to the emerging backstory. Dan Bongino has been hovering over the target for the past few days, and in his Wednesday podcast, he dropped the bomb. So what we’re going to talk about today sounds very much like “conspiracy theory” --- some Democrats will no doubt call it that, if they acknowledge it at all --- but it’s really not. It’s a number of interwoven stories of corruption that we know are true and in which the same names turn up over and over. Until we have more, we’ll say what we often do about such recitations of fact: make of this what you will.
By the way, we’ve noticed that when Democrats call something a “conspiracy theory,” it tends to mean we ARE over the target. So, bombs away!
Most of the larger story Bongino gets into involves Ukraine, a cash cow if there ever was one. So far, speculation about the Biden documents scandal has largely involved China and CEFC, but at least some of the top-secret documents that caused Biden’s high-priced attorneys, plus White House counsel, to drop everything and race to his home and office to sift through files (unsupervised by law enforcement personnel) apparently had to do with Ukraine.
It’s long been known that many DC swamp rats with influence to peddle were diving head-first into the corruption in Ukraine and making money as lobbyists. This started when the Soviet Union fell. The Bidens certainly had done this; note Hunter’s highly-compensated position on Burisma’s board.
Here’s the big question: Was Joe Biden funneled money, via his son, as a bribe to get money and weapons to Ukraine? Bongino cites a WASHINGTON POST story from March 2022 that says Biden, Obama’s “point man” in Ukraine, wanted to ship weapons to them but was overruled by Obama. Why was Biden given Ukraine to oversee? This didn’t just happen. Bongino believes it’s because Biden pushed heavily for it.
He brings up the name of Daria Kaleniuk, a Ukrainian activist who was pressing hard for a no-fly zone over Ukraine and also for weapons. Here she is talking about that in WAPO:
https://www.washingtonpost.
Bongino then cites a 2019 story from John Solomon that we reported on at the time, about a group headed by Kaleniuk called the Anti-Corruption Action Centre, or AntAC, which in 2016 was being investigated (for corruption, ha!) by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office. This was soon after Biden had pressured Ukraine to fire their lead prosecutor --- you know that story --- who happened to be looking into Burisma, which was paying Hunter Biden to be on their board. The new prosecutor, Yuri Lutsenko, told Solomon that when he came into office, our ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovich (remember her from Trump’s first impeachment?) stunned him by presenting him with a “do-not-prosecute” list.
One person on that list was a founder of AntAC. AntAC --- and here’s where this starts sounding like some wild conspiracy theory, even though it’s not --- was co-funded by the Obama administration and (ahem) George Soros. And it was collaborating with the FBI agents who were investigating Trump’s campaign manager Paul Manafort over his business activities with pro-Russia associates in Ukraine.
Some meetings of these collaborators included lead FBI international fraud investigator Karen Greenaway. Greenaway, in fact, won glowing praise on social media from Daria Kaleniuk for her work --- which was to investigate Manafort and, by extension, the Trump campaign. (When Greenaway retired, she joined AntAC’s supervisory board.)
With Kaleniuk wanting so much to get weapons for Ukraine, she no doubt was thrilled that Obama’s “point man” was on board with that.
We went looking and found something on Kaleniuk that I wonder if even Bongino has seen. Given her Soros ties, I guess it should surprise no one that she’s profiled on the website for the World Economic Forum.
https://www.weforum.org/
Anyway, it was clear that the U.S. embassy supported the Soros-funded AntAC. The implied message: “Don’t target AntAC in the middle of a presidential election in which Soros was backing Hillary Clinton to succeed another Soros favorite, Barack Obama,” according to Ukrainian officials who spoke with Solomon.
In December 2015, Kaleniuk was at the White House meeting with the future alleged “whistleblower” in Trump’s first impeachment, Eric Ciaramella. After Trump was elected, she went on to promote Ciaramella's false claim that Trump had strong-armed President Zelenskyy in a phone call to investigate the Bidens. Bongino is convinced their real goal was to stop Trump from looking too closely at all the corruption going on in Ukraine.
When you have time, I hope you’ll read Solomon’s detailed article. If it starts to sound familiar, it’s because you’ll keep running into names from Trump’s manufactured impeachment. This group in Ukraine was a hotbed of anti-Trump sentiment. Also pro-Ukrainian sentiment, of course, so that might help explain the Democrats’ double-edged strategy of blaming Putin for everything and creating one Russia hoax after another. (Note: to say this is not to defend Putin, who is a monster.) The classified documents about Ukraine that were found at the Penn Biden Center likely have something to do with this rotten mess.
Bongino’s podcast goes into more detail and offers other tip-offs that the Russia Hoax and Trump’s impeachment are all part of the same effort by the same cabal, tying in Fusion GPS and the Election Integrity Project (EIP), which really needs quotation marks around the word “Integrity.” We’ve mentioned the EIP very recently in the context of “election misinformation” and the Twitter Files, but did you know that it was started by former FBI agent and Senate staffer Daniel Jones and got its start-up funding from...George Soros? Solomon reports that the EIP even hired Fusion GPS, creator of the infamous Steele “dossier” and certainly experts in election misinformation!
Solomon appeared on Sean Hannity’s TV show Wednesday to discuss other findings, about the millions of dollars, largely from China, that poured into the University of Pennsylvania with the opening of the Penn Biden Center. Recall that 160 of their professors pressured Attorney General Merrick Garland not to investigate CCP espionage at the university and, in February 2022, he agreed to end the FBI’s “China Initiative.”
So there’s a glimpse of what China got for their millions! We’re wondering if at least part of what the Biden team was worried about was exposure of payoffs from the CCP.
Right now, the House Oversight Committee wants to follow the money. Chairman Kentucky Rep. James Comer tweeted on January 17, “I am committed to following the Biden family and associates’ money trail --- consisting of many, complex international transactions worth millions of dollars --- & providing answers to the American people.”
Several months ago, Comer said the Republicans had uncovered evidence of federal crimes being committed to enrich the Biden family, including conspiracy to defraud the United States, wire fraud, violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, tax evasion, money laundering, and violations of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act. He said that more than 150 financial transactions have been flagged for suspicious activity.
Of course, they’ve also launched an investigation of Biden’s handling of classified documents from the time he was vice president. For some reason, they just don’t feel like leaving it to the DOJ...
