“I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order --- respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”

President Trump tweeted this in response to the violence that erupted Wednesday at the Capitol Building, when some “Trump supporters” broke through barricades and stormed the building, breaking windows, getting rough with police in the halls, even entering the House chamber. As this is being written, news has just broken that one of the people who got shot in the melee has died.

Trump is right: we ARE the party of law and order, but I think most of us will agree that he needs to be a lot tougher in his condemnation of this. The same can be said of the video statement he released. Of course, virtually every news outlet who posted his tepid “go home” video had to editorialize, saying that Trump “repeated false claims” of election fraud. Facebook took it down.

So did YouTube.

Trump also tweeted this on Wednesday: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”

Well, yes, Mr. President, but in the USA, at least those of us on the right, also demand that the Constitution be meticulously followed. Vice President Pence obviously was doing what he thought was right concerning his role in this. We may disagree with him –- numerous constitutional experts do, and Alan Dershowitz isn’t sure –- and you obviously disagree with him, but please, right now, stay out of that process and stop pressuring him.

Trump told his supporters to go home, but no reaction to this violence is complete without a total, vociferous condemnation. We all condemned the truly awful violence coming from the Democrat side this summer when their party and the media (but I repeat myself) failed to do it. In this case, it’s just as wrong, no matter who is behind it.

We are aghast at this.

How do we know for certain that the people causing the trouble are Trump supporters? Maybe they were antifa dressed to look like real people. Have they been identified? Where do they work, live, etc. Let's investigate fully!

what do you say to those of us who have been disenfranchised by having the election stolen from us? What do you say to those of us who are supposedly law abiding citizens all of our lives and see the the upper echelon mostly democrat political people get by with what appear to be crimes? What do you say to those of us that can now see a realistic possibility that a Conservative will never be elected again (be like California). What words of hope can you really give us? Regarding the Capitol being breached...how do you know that they were Trump supporters who committed the destruction of property?

Today was a good happy day till the people barging into the Capital. It was ANTIFA blending in with Patriots that got thru with the help of cops moving the one portable fence it is on video. Throughout the day people were called out as being ANTIFA with hand made Trump shirts and flags hanging out of back packs. ANTIFA got the Patriots revel up when they heard Pence accepted Biden as President. So the Patriots followed them. Not that it was a good choice at all. But the Democrats leaders let the BLM ANTIFA trash their cities and nothing done just let go and the ones jailed Kamala Harris got them out on cash bonds. That is an outrage. There absolutely was fraud in the Nov 3 2020 in those 6 states. The numbers don’t add up at all. Dominion voting machines did manipulate the election. Biden did not have 1/2 the numbers of voters they say. There is proof of fraud and no judge would look at it. WI was so biased and didn’t see witnesses rude to Trumps attorney. I saw the rude body language very unprofessional ! Those states in question need audit with professional accountants or the paper reader Jovan with them have Rep and Dems oversea together. GA election yesterday absolutely cheated. Perdue had 5000 votes deleted from him on tv. That’s when there was a dump of ballots.Also people from GA said there were no ballot watchers at some precincts and where there were ballot watchers they were clear across the building like 60 ft away to see nothing. This is discussing. We know there was millions sent to the states in question there is a money trail from China Dominion and Zuck! We the people demand a recount with unbiased people. No one I know voted for Socialism Communism. The few people that did vote for Traitor Biden didn’t know if his crimes till after election. They would not voted for him or Kamala. Jim Biden emails implicated her in with China. The lap top had so much evidence and it was hidden for about a year. The Benghazi attack evidence is coming out everyone knows who was involved and people would not have voted for Biden if they knew that bit of info but again hidden from FB Twitter MSM shame for misleading the American citizens. I believe ANTIFA was given orders by the mayor or someone high up to cause this diversion and terrible act. That’s what the terrorists do take orders get paid have hotels paid for etc and Act. Biden and other Dem parties have sold us out to China. You don’t except millions from foreign countries for nothing in return and we believe that is treason. This treason goes back decades. These politicians act like they own our country. They do not they work for the people and I believe with all the corruption they forgot about that. Easy money under the table in Swiss banks. I realize their may have been little cheating in past but the 2020 election was overkill and very noticeable. . The Dems cheated yesterday I have video of the numbers erased from Perdue. This way the have the house the President and VP now to finish taking over. China is in with them big time they own way too many acres in the USA. Who let that happen. I know and so do the Democrats. When people feel betrayed, and the betrayal is not even looked into, I'm nor surprised this turned to violence. Nor do I quite understand why violence on the left is sanctioned by mayors and governors, but this violence as a direct result of betrayal is condemned. Personally I don't do violence, but I can understand the anger in this instance----it's betrayal by the institutions we believe in!

It is likely that the "Trump supporters" that caused mayhem and damage were Antifa or BLM in disguise. Most were older Americans and not bent on violence.

Who was the Georgia dem turned Republican??? He said he did so because the Republicans need leaders who know how to fight. THAT'S THE PROBLEM!!! The ELEPHANT in the room. Spineless, lily-livered, big mouths who keep telling us about law and order WHEN IT DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE!!! Our nation is going down the toilet and we need law and order?!?!? The election proved we no longer have a republic that is trustworthy, the Republicans colluding with dem-o-rats to carry this farce forward, because if we don't "IT WILL DESTROY THE COUNTRY." I am sick and tired of hearing the nonsense, seeing the lawbreakers skate by, and the self aggrandizing "Republicans" pontificating and bloviating, and the dem-o-rats allowing their areas of influence descend into chaos. I hope I am not correct but it looks like we are seeing the first actions in what will be a conflict that plays right into the hands of the communist/progressive/socialist evil doers. They are taunting the larger conservative population to rise up, hoping it will do so. Then they can call for their buddies to send in the blue helmets. All the while, pres. Xi, Putin, and Un are laughing their socks off that they accomplished what they set out to do. A house divided will fall and that is what has happened.
It does not matter who sits in the WH. The chaos is here now and more is certainly on the way. Now is the time to remember T. Jefferson and his comments about the tree of liberty.
WE ARE UNDER ATTACK FROM WITHIN AND WITHOUT.
I am afraid the days of law and order are becoming a memory.
All I lean on now is MARANATHA, MARANATHA, MARANATHA!!!

I sincerely believe in my heart that the person who shot that poor lady was Antifa. The guy with the blood on his hand was part of the stunt to make it look like Trump supporters did it. There were many Antifa people there from the pictures. Kamala set this up to make Trump look bad and the protesters. Now they have reason to take our guns. I am not saying all Protesters were innocent but this is the work of Antifa. The far left will make sure we don’t find out.
This was a disgrace to our country. President Trump looks really bad now. They wanted this to make him a bad president. Schumer is the biggest fake alive. Just wait until they start Antifa coming after the general population..
I am so sorry for that beautiful lady losing her life and a vet for our America.
Also, the election was stolen and terrible fraud. We are done as a Republican Party.
I am frightened to death for what is to come. My beautiful grandchildren . Prayers and prayers for our country.

Most likely plants to bring ill repute to the MAGA movement. Whether or not, were they arrested? If so, they can be interrogated. Their backgrounds investigated to determine their origins. If MAGA, chastised appropriately and charged accordingly. If not, revealed for what they are and charged approximately. This is NOT rocket science!

When the government has forced schools and businesses to close and people have lost their jobs to stop a flu virus people get frustrated. We’re forced to wear masks which may or may not help. You can’t attend a ballgame unless you’re the elite mayor of a city.
Force people to attend church only on line or in a parking lot. Stores and restaurants are forced to force you to stay 6 feet away from others. You can force people to kowtow to your rules & regulations for so long before they finally have a breaking point. Trump supporters have followed the rules and when they see democrats not being forced to to follow rules like not looting burning and getting away with that & voter fraud, they say enough already. Antifa said they would attend today & dress to fit in. Maybe they encouraged stoning the building. Give people a break from forcing people to follow your inane rules!!

Many of us were so very disappointed to see this happen in our nation's capital, as though we are a 3rd world country!! I agree that President Trump's condemnation of it should have been stronger, but could have also mentioned his supporters not becoming like the Antifa and BLM rioters. However, I believe there were some of those mixed in the crowd, wearing Trump hats etc. Pray for our nation, all of us. God is using this whole year to get our attention. We'd better be listening to Him!

Please do not let arrogance over load your ass into thinking that the stormy of the capitol was an act of violence or embarrassment to those of us who love our country and follow our constitution. The media (all of it) does nothing but spread lies, misinformation, and division. We are sick of being demonized for nothing. Well today you saw what will happen when patriots are fed up with the corruption and manipulation down our throats. It's nowhere near over!

President Trump is definitely not guilty of inciting a riot. He begged for No Violence, but his speech was removed from the media. It is tragic that a woman was killed, but it was not Trump's fault. I believe VP Pence is acting very courageously and wisely in considering all options regarding overturning the election as it would undoubtedly cause a civil war, destroying our beloved country even more. I believe President Trump is grieving the loss of this great country as our forefathers envisioned, and therefore acting out and "grabbing at straws" to save us from a tragic future. He needs our prayers and our support. We must remember that God is in charge. Our leaders are chosen by Him to complete His plans for the world. A study of the relationship between God and Israel is a clear example of what our nation is going through now. God divorced Israel because of her idolatry just as He is turning His back on us now. But we can regain our relationship with Him by turning back. This is why Trump was anointed to be our leader; but we would not turn back. President Trump is now suffering great agony because he believed most of the country still believed in God.

HOW CAN ALL OF THE UGLY THINGS THAT HAVE BEEN FOUND REGARDING THE ELECTION GONE WITHOUT FORCED LEGAL INVESTIGATION? ALL OF THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED THE DAY AFTER THE ELECTION. WE'RE TOLD ABOUT OBVIOUS CHEATING, DESTROYING OF BALLOTS, ETC., BUT IS THERE NO WAY OF FORCING A THOROUGH, TRUTHFUL. HONEST ACCOUNTING OF EVERYTHING? TONIGHT I'M NOT PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN.

Mike,
I greatly respect you, real your letters regularly, and generally agree with you, but in the matter of today’s Capitol Hill situation, I have to respectfully disagree in some aspects. Yes, we conservatives are supposed to be the people of law and order; yes, we are supposed to be peaceful; yes, we are supposed to calmly express ourselves. But we are also fed up with the “other” side continuously breaking the law to our demise (e.g., all the illegal lockdown orders as “rules for thee but not for me”), ignoring the Constitution (e.g., Gov Witless and Gov Nuisance at the Supreme Court’s rulings), and refusing to acknowledge the evidence that even most of the seasoned Congresspersons know is obvious and real before them, that this entire election was rigged and defrauded. Why, for their own personal gain – monetarily or otherwise. They claim to follow the laws, insist that “we the people” follow the law, and then break whatever laws they feel like, knowing full well that we somehow have to obey the laws. They also allow those who support their policies (or oppose ours), like Antifa, to break laws with impunity, even to the point of injuring others. While I do not advocate violence against anyone, I would remind everyone of several things:
First: Rev Dr. Kings exhortation in “Letter from Birmingham Jail” – when asked, despite his adherence to peaceful protests, how he could obey some laws and disobey others - that laws that do not square with god’s laws are unjust and that we have an obligation to disobey unjust laws.
Second: the colonists and revolutionary soldiers who fought against English were, in fact, breaking the law; but had they not, America would never exist.
Third, there is a great difference between forcing one’s way into the capitol – a place that is supposed to represent the “people,” not merely the elite – and shooting someone, which was perpetrated, not by the protesters, but by the police.
Fourth: if Congress and those who are supposed to represent US and stand up for the truth, believe themselves in some ivory tower that enables them to do whatever they like to our detriment, perhaps it is time to show them their own vulnerability.
Perhaps this seems to extreme; but, just like the colonists of old, just how long will real people tolerate the abusiveness of those who are supposed to represent them and stand for truth, freedom and America before they revolt? Are we still one nation under God, or just Amen and Awomen?

I am sure President Trump was exhausted from yet another all night “we are stopping our vote count til tomorrow” so we can obviously steal yet another election right in front of the eyes of literally everyone in the world, yet only half the country seems to see it. This is a tragedy for our President Trump too. I hope you have not run out of compassion for him? He’s been treated brutally. And so have many others who have been forced to tow the line or else terrible consequences. I am proud of President Trump.

SEVERAL STATES VIOLATED THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION AND THEIR OWN STATE CONSTITUTIONS CREATING THE OPENING FOR CORRUPTION OF THE ELECTION PROCESS.

How long does the "Rule of Law" party have to stand back and allow the lies, cheating, fraudulent voting, stealing of elections, and enduring accusations and lies from the fake news to go on before something is done about it? Obviously, truth doesn't change anyone's mind, and the courts are refusing to get into the fray, copping out on a ridiculous ruling that the states do not have "standing" to object to a clearly fraudulent election. How long before the real Americans say enough and start hitting back? What else is there at this point?
Do we just keep offering arguments that get thrown back in our face from now on? I think the Republicans have been too weak for too long. If the Republicans and conservatives do not stand up to the Democrats in this fight, we will lose it all. We may have already.

For the first time in his term, I see the greatest President in my lifetime almost at a breaking point. He has endured more CRAP since BEFORE he took office; has been maligned, slandered, plotted against, lied about... HATED on a 365 24/7 non-stop! The caustic flames of that hatred are being (smugly, I might add) fanned to a roaring blaze this minute on Capitol Hill. Did President Trump condemn the violence by the "Trump supporters"? Yes! Was it worded exactly as everyone thought it should be? Of course not - except for me! I think beneath his toughness, his heart was breaking. Watch it! His hair was even different! I think his mind was going in a thousand directions, and trying to grasp what has just happened to his beloved America! He will never be a threat to this country, but those strutting their pious "stuff" on all the major networks are the ENEMIES of We the People! Fact!
The only flame President Trump fanned were the dying embers of patriotism in the heart of every American - Embers dead or dying because of all the BS that just goes on and on; has been going on in "politics" ...my whole life; same thing over and over. Trump DID SOMETHING! I've never met him, but I love him and I respect him! I always will. As far as I'm concerned, my President is Donald J Trump.
I feel the same way he does about cheaters - I've got NO USE for them.

Are you sure the violent protesters were all Trump supporters? Or were Antifa & Marxists there to give Trump supporters terrible image? Were they arrested? Were they released out the back door or true identity is unknown to the public? Don’t jump to conclusion all violent protesters were true Trump supporters.

I’m surprised that you did not check facts. Antifa was the rioters portraying Trump supporters. In at least one picture it was the same person who was in BLM previous picture. One showed a picture of a man with a swastika on his had! Trump supporters? I think not.

Hey Governor, I love your show and the morning and evening news editions. Thanks for all you do to bring us positive and truthful coverage and commentary on the current issues.
In regard to the violence, I’ve seen multiple videos and pictures posted by the perpetrators themselves showing they are antifa members and blm protestors. Even before President Trump knew that, he quickly came out and strongly (in my never to be humble opinion) condemned violence and really stood strongly for our police. I think you’ve missed the impact of his video statement. But again, that’s just my opinion! I do agree that he needs to lay off Pence, especially since we don’t know how all this will play out. I actually agrees in my feelings with the President, but he needs to hold comment for now, Just my thoughts...
