“I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order --- respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”

President Trump tweeted this in response to the violence that erupted Wednesday at the Capitol Building, when some “Trump supporters” broke through barricades and stormed the building, breaking windows, getting rough with police in the halls, even entering the House chamber. As this is being written, news has just broken that one of the people who got shot in the melee has died.

Trump is right: we ARE the party of law and order, but I think most of us will agree that he needs to be a lot tougher in his condemnation of this. The same can be said of the video statement he released. Of course, virtually every news outlet who posted his tepid “go home” video had to editorialize, saying that Trump “repeated false claims” of election fraud. Facebook took it down.

So did YouTube.

Trump also tweeted this on Wednesday: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”

Well, yes, Mr. President, but in the USA, at least those of us on the right, also demand that the Constitution be meticulously followed. Vice President Pence obviously was doing what he thought was right concerning his role in this. We may disagree with him –- numerous constitutional experts do, and Alan Dershowitz isn’t sure –- and you obviously disagree with him, but please, right now, stay out of that process and stop pressuring him.

Trump told his supporters to go home, but no reaction to this violence is complete without a total, vociferous condemnation. We all condemned the truly awful violence coming from the Democrat side this summer when their party and the media (but I repeat myself) failed to do it. In this case, it’s just as wrong, no matter who is behind it.

We are aghast at this.

What happened at the Capital is that people are just getting tired of the state legislatures and state judicial and the federal government along with the federal judicial system of doing nothing since March 2020 in stopping the Antifa and Black Lives Matter riots and disorders with NO convictions for the rioters and murders and safety in the communities nationwide and
those same people do not jobs, the small business owners are being wiped nationwide, losing their homes and places of residences now and in the very near future. There has no investigative inquiries in those states where people have signed affidavits and videos and proof of fraud and people also know that JOE Biden did not win in any state and all the republicans do is tell you keep your cool. Well this has come to an end, get ready due to the Republicans not fighting back and governors and mayors in the blue states not doing their job only worried about their political careers, you are going to see a revolt nationwide in almost any state by the people who have had an enough of inaction by all in the government both local, state and federal level.

I am against violence. We need to be peaceful in our protests. I am tired of the Democrats who did not speak against violence all summer! I am also tired of cheating, lying, and stealing of our election process by democrats.

While I voted for President Trump and agree with his platform and appreciate all that he has accomplished, I think that he should have done more to prevent and quell the violence. Was Antifa involved in the rioting today? We need healing in our country. I’m praying for revival in America and a return to Godly values. I believe there was some election fraud and President Trump would be an excellent choice to overhaul our election process. I’m also praying for outstanding conservative candidates for President and Congress in 2024.

My thoughts on the violence is that it makes no sense, and does NOT fit the profile that TRUMP supporters were behind this. I feel it is yet another attack from the Soros funded factions to stop the good people who want to find out what really happened by contesting the "state's certified" votes. We MUST shine light on the evil that is behind this and which is trying to throw God and God-fearing Americans out of this country. Good will ALWAYS overcome evil. We must never give forget that. Jesus died and rose to live in us, and we are the salt and light in this world

I have to agree Mike- breaking into the capital was the worst thing that could have been done. This is too much like the nearly month long takeover of the Wisconsin Capital Rotunda by Democrat radicals during Scott Walker's first term. We have stooped to their levels and lost credibility-like a Christian who sins and wrecks his witness. President Trump does need to stand down with a strong message against this act. Likewise the GOP better understand people are very angry with the press, with social media and the failure of the GOP to fully fight proactively from day one each of the actions taken by Democrats to weaken the integrity of our electoral processes. In my 66 years I have never seen folks so upset and that includes myself.
The GOP also needed to promote it's strong platform- aggressively repeat it over and over. Instead we let Donald do all the messaging on Twitter (and messaging is not his strong point as so much is negative). Don't get me wrong- I like what he accomplished and Twitter was his way around the fake news press- but the rest of the GOP team failed him Mike.

I watched your show on TBN tonight with several pastors as guest. Like many people, I was saddened by today’s events, but your guest gave me hope that at least maybe a revival will happen in our nation. Praying we turn back to God.

Today's actions at the capitol saddens me greatly. But hearing the media say this is like something that only happens in 3rd world countries angers me. Stolen massive voter fraud which results in the "election" of an illigitimate presidency which is totally ignored or falsely reported on is also something one expects to find only in third world countries. President Trump has been treated like something you wouldn't want to step in for over 4 years. Our so-called media is the equivalent of Pravda I used to read about in high school when our teachers still taught us that the press is the voice of the people and that Communism is to be abhorred and feared.
The people today (other than the probable Antifa players) who got so out of control have lost all faith in the media, in their state governments, and in the federal government. They are sick and tired of being lied to every single day about the " baseless" fraud claims being propagated on us by Trump.
No president has ever been so mistreated by the press and his followers are about 80 million strong and starving for justice for themselves and for their president.
Expect more violence because historically when ballots fail bullets take their place.
If the joint session of Congress does not find a way to right the wrong perpetrated on Americans and President Trump and either send this back to the states in question or create an honest commission to decide this election as in 1877 then patriots will do what they must do.
May God guide our Congress and Senate and may he give them hearts to follow that guidance.

The Bible talks about 'unjust weights." In ancient times they would hollow out the stones or find a very heavy stone. This made a tremendous difference when either buying or selling. In the USA the unjust weights are the heavy hand of the courts or the media concerning Christians or Republicans and a light hand on Democrats. For example the judge overstepping his role concerning Flynn. I've been praying and asking the Lord to balance our weights in this country.

People are angry, and tired of having their voices pushed under the rug. This isn't about Trump, this about the lack of respect for the American people and their opinions. We have a voice and people expect to be heard.

It’s a very sad day in the USA. I agree that the election was flawed & at least needed to be investigated but the violence tidal gained nothing. Other the other hand where was the outrage that occurred all summer & fall?
We conservative citizens are just sick of the way things are going. I’m just afraid you can only poke the bear for so long before it rises up.
I pray God shows mercy on USA.

We do believe the President's statement was strong enough and we abhor this violence. I find it difficult to believe that these were Trump supporters and not leftists disguised in MAGA gear. Will reserve judgment on VP Pence. Still praying, Governor! Your show is a shelter in the storm right now. God bless!

What do we expect? Our President’s base has been spooled up for months by the news media, including conservative news outlets, as to how he won the election by a landslide and the continued promises of “more” evidence to support his “win.” Where is the President’s “firm”condemnation of his supporters’ actions today? When he did respond, it was still all about him, as were the rallies to supposedly support the Republican Georgia Senate races. I voted for the Republican “platform” in the last two elections although I’ve never cared for President Trump’s behavior, vulgarity and lack of diplomacy. I am sure he is gloating over his base’s response today at the Capitol. He has accomplished so much, but he will be most known for his divisiveness. I will be so glad when he is gone. I hope in 2024, we have the opportunity to again have a Republican President with a similar work ethic, but a dignified presence who can perpetuate unity. I am furious we lost the election, as well as the Senate and I hold him 100% accountable!

They have all that burning and looting, by Black Life Matter and Antifa for two years. No body said anything on the Democrats side. You have a few people act up and all hell break loose with the new media. It was all planned.

I hardly call Antifa, white supremacists, and other posers - Republicans who got out of hand.

Those counterfeits dressed up in MAGA attire to make it look like it was Republicans needs to be dealt with.

Is it possible that the violent "protestors" were BLM or Antifa plants? A friend posted this: From "Paul Sherry on Twitter -
BREAKING: Former FBI agent on the ground at U.S. Capitol just texted me and confirmed that at least 1 "busload" of Antifa thugs infiltrated peaceful Trump demonstrators as part of a false Trump flag ops."

If Trump starts a third party, I'm all in ... the display by the elitist crowd in the Senate was to witness the start of the slide of our once great nation into the sewer pit of socialism. Sad, so very sad.

What a sad day in America. First of all, I don't believe that the violence was caused by Republicans because they were shown peacefully protesting outside. Secondly, why can't the Republican party get it right? Wasn't VP Pence advised on his constitutional rights/responsibiities? President Trump was wrong to turn his back on his VP. We're all just left in agony that our Republic has come to this, due to extensive voter fraud. We all know that President Trump won the election but the socialist news media just spins their lies and deceit. Come Lord Jesus. We're in a world of trouble and need you!!!

The breach of the US Capital today would never have happened had the veracity of the Presidential Election not been breached in numerous states. Everyone knows the truth, whether they want to admit it or not.
Biden’s remarks tonight were the epitome of hypocrisy.
The Democrats have been plotting to take over the national government for over 4 years & tonight they’ve succeeded.
They’ve ousted Trump & won both of Georgia’s US Senate seats.
Our Constitutional Republic is on the verge of Civil War as a direct result of their actions. They have no one to blame but themselves.
You can’t buy/steal an election without someone finding out.
They’ve been exposed & now it’s time to hold them accountable legally & honorably.
    The truth always wins out.
We have 2 years to prepare for the mid-term elections. We may not have to wait that long!!

I believe you are missing the point.
Antifa/BLM perfectly orchestrated this attack. I do not condone violence. However, I believe that massive election fraud took place. The courts refusing to take up these cases, the legislatures refusing or unable to meet to hear testimony (except Michigan and Georgia where testimony was damning). Means our concerns were never addressed. They (congress) are supposed to represent us the 74,000,000 million people who voted legally for President Trump. Not themselves.

I have been a supporter of President Trump from the time he became the presidential nominee in 2016. However his response today was disappointing on a number of fronts. His speech to protesters this morning was not well considered and can be interpreted as a “call to arms.” Actually I was most disturbed by his attack on VP Pence, first pressuring him to “do the right thing”, and then calling him a coward. Mr Pence has been loyal and carried the torch for the President for 4 years and doesn’t deserve such attacks. I do believe the election was rigged but obviously the officials, judges and state level folks either couldn’t prove it or chose not to. I will not likely have faith in our electoral process again, and I fear for the continuity of our country. Our divisions are deep and irreconcilable. We may need to divide the country into two separate nations. We are extremely vulnerable to outside influence and we have “elected” a president who is not only a decrepit old man who is a bully and worse, a criminal, and a VP who is morally degenerate and a scary potential leader. How far we have fallen so quickly!
