“I am asking for everyone at the U.S. Capitol to remain peaceful. No violence! Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order --- respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue. Thank you!”

President Trump tweeted this in response to the violence that erupted Wednesday at the Capitol Building, when some “Trump supporters” broke through barricades and stormed the building, breaking windows, getting rough with police in the halls, even entering the House chamber. As this is being written, news has just broken that one of the people who got shot in the melee has died.

Trump is right: we ARE the party of law and order, but I think most of us will agree that he needs to be a lot tougher in his condemnation of this. The same can be said of the video statement he released. Of course, virtually every news outlet who posted his tepid “go home” video had to editorialize, saying that Trump “repeated false claims” of election fraud. Facebook took it down.

So did YouTube.

Trump also tweeted this on Wednesday: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution, giving States a chance to certify a corrected set of facts, not the fraudulent or inaccurate ones which they were asked to previously certify. USA demands the truth!”

Well, yes, Mr. President, but in the USA, at least those of us on the right, also demand that the Constitution be meticulously followed. Vice President Pence obviously was doing what he thought was right concerning his role in this. We may disagree with him –- numerous constitutional experts do, and Alan Dershowitz isn’t sure –- and you obviously disagree with him, but please, right now, stay out of that process and stop pressuring him.

Trump told his supporters to go home, but no reaction to this violence is complete without a total, vociferous condemnation. We all condemned the truly awful violence coming from the Democrat side this summer when their party and the media (but I repeat myself) failed to do it. In this case, it’s just as wrong, no matter who is behind it.

We are aghast at this.

I agree he should be tougher but isn’t possible that the violence was conducted by Antofagasta dressed up like pro-Trumpers?

So what, BLM did worst than we did. The burn and killed, firework, bottles and bricks. If they broke a couple of window let the other man coming in fix them. At least Biden did not bail anyone of them out.I am upset for lies, stolen votes and the creating our government have lower themselves too.

I agree the election was stolen; but, President Trump has fought a good fight and it over. It’s now time to facilitate a peaceful transition. If people don’t like what is happening, make sure you vote for elective officials who share your values of honesty and integrity in the election process. It’s time to move on for better or worst. Only time will tell.

This is a P.S. to my earlier comment. I DO NOT support violence, and the protesters should not have stormed the capitol--under any circumstance. That is a completely separate issue from what V.P. Pence did (or rather, did not do). THAT is what I am furious about. We have nowhere else to turn after an election--IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, of all places--was stolen by fraud and corruption. Never in one hundred million years did I believe this could happen here!!!!

I am seriously disappointed that those who stormed the Capitol Building successfully interrupted the process that was happening. I had hopes that when the objections were presented and the Senate and House met to go over the election objections that the evidence would be heard. I believe that the lower courts and other courts refused to consider the evidence. I have seen videos and heard witnesses who swore that they were present when elections watchers were not allowed close enough to see what the counters were doing. These are people who stepped up and identified themselves. They were/are not anonymous whistle blowers that Democrats seem to have no trouble taking serious. The process was interrupted. I hope that due process was not stopped. I do not believe that the people who entered the capitol are Trump supporters. I did see that one who had said he would back the hearing of the evidence has already backed out. With him the bullies won.

Totally agree with you governor. At the very least the GOP needs to continue investigations into what happened at the poles in November. I have a lot more thoughts on this, but I need to go by the old adage that if you can't say something good -- don't say anything at all. Thank you for all that you do. I worked in the newspaper industry for 34 years until I was force retired in 2008 under the Obama administration. Feel we can look for more of this to come in the next four years.

Yes this election was rigged, machines were set to give Biden votes, there were votes from dead people, votes for trump were found in the trash, trump didn't get his day in court, to prove feud, attorneys have proof of all this, so why isn't someone doing something about this, Biden and that witch on a broom Harris, are evil their murderers, I can tell you a how I feel, if they think the crowd was bad. And that was because they don't want Biden in the white house. Wait to see what happens if Biden gets in, satan is really at work cause he knows his time is short, I do not respect Biden, I won't listen to any of his speaches, he in no way will tell me how to worship, or anything else, and that includes the government, if he starts messing with people's social security, giving illegals free stuff we have to pay for there will be a,civil war in the streets, Biden will never be the president that trump is,

The events of the last 6 months leading up to and through the election were designed and executed by a master villain, George Soros. Having lost the 2016 presidential election, the master plan was set in place to win everything in 2020. He is as vile as any villain that a James Bond movie could come up with. I wouldn't even put it past him to have designed and organized the violence that took place at the Capitol today. Well he bought and paid for HIS president and administration; and HIS Congress; all designed to overthrow the United States of America as we know it. God help us as we descend into the dregs of socialism and world order as only dreamed for by Soros and his minions.

I realize what happened today was tragic and never should have happened. Why does the left constantly say that Our President doesn't have the right to say the voting machines have been messed with, when he's right..C'mon really, he has done everything right, now that the tragedy of today is so fresh in our Hearts we have to come together now, and put the events of the day behind us!!! GOD BLESS AMERICA, and that poor child that was killed today!!!!!

To every action, there's a reaction. Today's episode reflects the frustration of the past four years as Republicans and the mistreatment from lawmakers and media combined. I consider this a very mild act compared to the BLM Marxist & Antifa Scum that is ruling by force throughout this past year. I'm a Federal employee working in a Congressional Building, The Kennedy Center; I understand the laws, policy, and procedures and wouldn't have engaged in storming the Senate Building. However, I can identify as a senior citizen, white male, living in the NOVA & working in DC; minorities are a privileged sect in the Federal Govt. Adjusting to the "Bullshit" of the DC Swamp isn't easy, and I live in a low level of anger all the time. It's probably time to retire...? I enjoy your show. F.M.Gordon.

I do not believe the rioters were Trump supporters. They were outsiders most likely paid by soros to do this vile reprehensible destruction. I pray for all putting them in God's Yellow Basket.
My heart aches for the country I so love.

VP Pence, you have been a wonderful VP in support of the POTUS, and I am not going to comment on the request for you to set aside the election results, except to say the election of Nov. 3, 2020 was an afront to our great country and to every US citizen; it involved total fraud and it appears that no one with the power to intervene both local, state and federal did anything positive to correct this. An investigation should have, and now, occurred. The American Trump supporters have been maligned and insulted by the democrats and their compliant media for too long. Is is really a suprise that something might boil over, however regrettable it is and was, especially the jumpy Capitol Police shooting an innocent unarmed young woman, killing her. Where is the outrage!?
It is apparent that biden et al will assume the position, at least, soon and our great President Trump and you will be missed, never to be forgotten. It is a true shame that the far left and the mental midget self-centered billionaire soros types brought down Hades for over four years on you two.
I am in a state of mental disarray over all this and have great fear for our country as the democrat party has no concern for our country, it seems, and no shame.

Storming the congress today was wrong but we need to find out who started it and why. That said, we need to verify that no one was armed that invaded the congress and if so why were shots fired from the police or undercover agents or whoever they were? That also needs to be disclosed. This girl had died and for what? So much violence over this past year yet we were told by the media and congress it was peaceful. I agree that violence is not going to be the answer but they brought this one themselves with all the cheating and fraud in this election. Someone besides the President needs to answer the why!!!!

If it was Trump supporters, and I am sure some did infiltrate, I still disagree. You did not see the same type of violence today that we have watched all summer.
All the violence was at the capital, and a small number of participants, especially considering the size of the crowd.
We each reserve the right to View things differently and politely disagree.
    Thank you

Very sad day. This has been building for a long time. Democrats have been rigging elections and no one even bothered to hear it out. All safety nets of our democracy have failed. I do not approve of the few 100 that stormed the capital, they should be prosecuted. Majority of the marchers were there peacefully marching after stolen elections, lock downs, covid, riots, impeachment, biased media, tech companies, globalists, socialists. Our country died today. We are a socialist country. We have lost free and fair elections forever.

A friend of ours was in DC today to attend the rally. He told us that the group he traveled with was warned that BLM and Antifa were planning to infiltrate the rally specifically to create trouble; has this possibility been ruled out?

I do not condone violence in any way, shape, or form and what happened today was completely wrong. But it wasn’t just Trump supporters. There were Antifa members there instigating it and have been arrested. He did say that what happened was wrong and that’s not who we are. What did you expect him to say?

I really don't know where I stand on this one, but here is what I see. I see the Constitution apparently shredded on Nov. 3rd. You have published news reports of Mr. Pulitzer saying that he can prove/disprove Mr. Trump's arguments within 2 hours, he hacked "un-hackable" voting machines while testifying, but is not given access to the ballots, someone videoing the destruction of ballots in the middle of the night-illegally, mysterious water leaks that ran the observers out of the building, but not the "vote counters", etc., etc., etc.--the Constitution Being Shredded. Now in your article above and elsewhere, there is all this talk about METICULOUSLY following the Constitution which, it seemed, no one cared about a week ago. You know, they had a Tea Party in Boston that started something a few years ago--just saying.

We do not believe Trump supporters caused the violence. Those were plants by soros.

How could all the states with known fraud, and voting laws being ignored, certify their state's election results? Judges not being impartial, and not taking on cases where fraud appears to be obvious. How can anyone trust another election? No election reform will help if the laws are ignored, and nothing is done. So either all the evidence you've written about is overblown, or the entire system is dead. The people should rise against the tyranny. That's how America started. It appears we need a reset.

I am shocked that this happened. I tend to think these rioters were "Trump supporters" supporters in NAME ONLY. I agree with you President Trump should condemn them much stronger.

  • Anne Eagle

Immediately the thought crossed my mind that the violent protesters might not be Trump supporters. We have better manners and higher standards of behavior. How about Antifa or others posing as Trump supporters just to make us look bad? Newsmax announcer also suggested that as a possibility.
And MSM announcers, even Fox on 6:00 news were still completely denying what we KNOW to be widespread voter fraud. The truth has to come out. More power to Ted Cruz and all his brave cohorts who are attempting to educate so many ignorant Americans!

Am just very distressed at all this. A Democrat was interviewed. We need to come together, this is not what we are about, she condemned President Trump, but as you said, where is the condemning of the demonstrators from this summer. Sooooo much #!#!×#!#!#####!!!!!. We gotta bless God out of all this. God cannot bless our country when we don't bless him,,,,,,, all around.
