Deployed In Washington

As thousands of National Guard troops remain deployed in Washington, DC, on Democrat orders for no apparent reason (oh wait: they have to hold back the invisible army of imaginary Trump-voting “insurrectionists”), they are starting to complain about their treatment. Members of the Michigan National Guard say that 50 members have been treated for gastrointestinal complaints after being served undercooked, contaminated meals.

They’re so distrustful of the food being given them that some troops are buying food out of their own pockets to avoid eating it. Some Guard members say the food is so bad that half the meals they’re given are going straight into the trash.

Nothing says you respect the troops like making them camp out in freezing weather for no reason while feeding them garbage, just as nothing says you’re doing the will of the people like surrounding yourself with troops and razor wire while trying to take away the people’s guns and freedom of speech.

Nearly 6,000 troops are expected to stay in DC until at least mid-March, allegedly because of some Internet chatter about a QAnon conspiracy theory that Trump will be reinstated as President on March 4th.

That’s tomorrow. Once that date passes (and I’m betting it will pass without any incident), how about ending this political theater and letting them go home?

    My son sent us photos of the food. Gov. Whitmer and others from Michigan went to inspect. Gary Peters surprisingly said they shoul get retro-active per diem and per diem immediately. TOO EXPENSIVE was the answer. Same crappy food or MREs. I am disgusted with the way Troops have been treated. WHITMER thinks it is okay since she has agreed to bring them home Mar.12. I am sure many won’t stay due to poor morale. Far fewer resigning.

    Until the troops are sent home is there a way I can help buy them good meals? I can do a "go fund me" and the people will pay for decent food for them.

    Absolutely disgusting and ridiculous the way our troops are being treated. If it was a Republican in office as President, there would be non-stop howling and protests regarding any treatment like this. Is this how Biden and Harris are going to run our country for the next 4 years? I really believe Biden probably isn't fully aware of all that is happening around D.C.

    Lets make this wall around the capital useful,,,, instead of protecting pelosi,, lets place this wire and fencing on the Border, we can and will not accept these immigrants, We need America first, and OPEN up. use this spending bill to finish border Wall and help ALL our country open up..

    They just moved the target date. And, those troops are sworn to protect and defend THE CONSTITUTION, not those who have basically destroyed it for their own benefit. Think about that for a minute.

    What are the Liberals so afraid of? The illegals they are letting come in and take over? They have a fence topped with barbed wire and soldiers protecting their sorry arses while refusing to close the border. Remember you will be coming up for election and maybe we can get rid of the leeches by then

    The way these National Guard troops have been treated is horrible. First was the way they had to sleep in the garage (the Capitol Building floors were bad enough!). Now the meals (raw hamburger, etc). Several reports said many of the troops were hospitalized for food poisoning! They ought to take a couple of those non edible meals to the leadership in Congress. Show them what the troops are getting as they tend to their appointed task of keeping Congressional areas and people safe. Please continue to keep the plight of these brave (but mistreated) Guard troops upper most in your mind and in front of Congress!! Thank You.

    Darn. No rioting--except in other cities by blm/antifa. Now, while sitting in their think tank (not doing any legislative work) they are going to have to come up with something else. It's not like they need to do any legislative work--biden is doing all the work with his EO's--you know, like the dictator he described when using EO's.

    Still waiting for schummmmer's results of the "investigation" he promised when National Guardsmen were relegated to the garage. Wonder if he bothered with an investigation.

    Pelosi and her cohorts had better watch out. They might be creating an even larger rebellion than from the one they claim they need protection. If those soldiers are starting to grumble now, just think what they could do if they really get their dander up.

    We need to get our National guard back to the states where they belong. they are to protect the home land not washington. The captiol has police to protect it. They need to fund the police, I have never seen such stupid people in charge of our country. We need to stop thier pay til they get it right. After all we pay the salary for all of them . What are they doing to get paid. I see nothing at all.
