Prayers For Kathy Griffin

Controversial Trump-hating comedian Kathy Griffin revealed that she has lung cancer and is about to undergo surgery to have half of her left lung removed. She says it’s stage one and hasn’t spread, so doctors are optimistic that she will recover without chemo or radiation.

Lung cancer is a frightening and terrible disease (Griffin already knows that from having lost her brother to cancer in 2014), and like fellow conservative Matt Margolis at the link, I send her my prayers for a full recovery. As Matt notes, that’s what decent people do at times like this, even for those who have ignored basic rules of civility toward others. He hopes she will survive this ordeal and come out of it with a little more empathy for others. Amen to that.

At this writing, former President Trump has yet to comment. But a lot of people are waiting.

    My President Trump( b/c) he still is the president definitely doesn’t owe Kathy Griffin anything at all!!! As a Christian that i’am I do pray for her recovery from Cancer. Cancer is awful and I wouldn’t wish that disease on anyone! That being said I do hope however most of all that she finds and accepts Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior and change her rude, nasty, crude, crass ways!! She really thinks it’s funny but it’s disgusting!! Being unbelievably rude at the expense of others is NOT funny nor attractive!!!

    President Trump owes Kathy Griffin nothing. I will pray for her because cancer is very scary. I hope she finds Jesus Christ during this battle. He is the only one who will bring her peace.

    I don't agree with what she has done. But I pray for a full recovery and have a chance to come to know the lord.
