Biden's Choice to Fix the Border

President Biden, who has yet to visit our Southern border, appointed Vice President Kamala Harris to look into the giant crisis he made there. Maybe it was the way she broke up laughing when a reporter asked if she was going to visit the border that convinced Biden she was the right person for the job, or maybe he knew he could depend on her to find some way to blame his chaotic nightmare on Trump instead of him. Or maybe it was just that Biden himself doesn’t travel well these days, so someone in charge had to do it.
For whatever reason that she was chosen to solve the baffling mystery of why the border was suddenly surged by illegal immigrants the minute Biden reversed all of Trump’s border security measures, some people don’t think she’s the right person to solve the problem of mass illegal immigration. And not just because as Attorney General, she helped turn California into a “sanctuary state.”
Arizona’s Republican Gov. Doug Ducey called her “about the worst possible choice that one could make,” adding, “In no point in her career has she given any indication that she considers the border a problem or a serious threat…“If President Biden’s intent was to show that he’s taking this issue seriously, he’s really done the exact opposite here. He’s completely trivialized this issue by putting someone in charge who flat-out just doesn’t care.”
On the other hand, if Biden was looking for someone to represent his views on border security, that sounds like she’s the perfect choice.
The Boulder Shooter

Yesterday, we broke our longstanding rule of not reporting the names of people who commit mass shootings, to deny them the fame some of them crave. Unfortunately, it was made necessary by all the leftists who leaped to blame the Boulder, Colorado, supermarket shooting on a white male Trump supporter. To correct that racist false assumption, we had to make it clear that he was nothing of the sort. But from now on, we will not repeat his name.
We will, however, report that it’s now known that he originally came to the US from Syria, and his since-deleted Facebook page showed that he hated Trump, called him filthy names, and had been led to believe that Trump is a racist, America is systemically racist, and he was a victim of Islamophobia. In short, he was definitely on the leftists’ team. This explains why the story immediately switched from “blame white male Trump voters” to “blame the gun.”
Democrats Work to Mainstream their Extreme Views

The Epoch Times reports that Marine Corps officer Michael Berry complained that the Pentagon’s new training on “identifying extremists” in the ranks includes a slide that identifies Catholics and Evangelical Christians as “religious extremists” along with the KKK, al-Qaeda and Hamas.
That story refers to a House hearing into the blatantly partisan overreactions, purges and politicizing of the military in the guise of fighting “extremism.” Tyler O’Neil of PJ Media reports that during it, a representative of the biggest anti-Christian smear factory operating today, the Southern Poverty Law Center, insisted that the SPLC “is not anti-Christian at all.” FYI: the idea that mainstream Christian groups are “hate groups” because they support the Biblical view of marriage was born at the SPLC, which is now used by powerful organizations to provide lists of “hate groups” to ban.
While denying that the SPLC are anti-extremism extremists, she acknowledged that their list of so-called “hate groups” includes the American College of Pediatricians, because it opposes the chemical castration of gender-confused children.
On that topic, to illustrate the perfectly mainstream views now prevailing in Washington, the Senate confirmed Rachel Levine as assistant secretary of health. Levine is the first openly transgender federal official and actively supports the chemical castration of gender-confused children. The vote was 52-48, with Republican Sens. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine joining all Democrats in supporting Levine.
Oakland, California Police Experiment Gets an F Grade

Last summer, the San Francisco Chronicle named Oakland as a test case for how defunding the police could work out, as the city slashed police funding by up to $150 million. Well, the test results are in, and if “defunding the police” were a college student, it would have flunked out by now.
Less than a year later, Oakland is on track for a record-breaking year for murders. So far, there have been 34 homicides, about triple the number by this time last year. Among the chief factors blamed is the lowest number of police officers in years. Short-handed investigators are working around the clock trying to solve all the murders. The mayor is urging the city council to use the money from the COVID-19 bill “to prioritize restoring critical police services the city was forced to cut due to massive revenue losses from the pandemic.”
Sure, it was the pandemic that made all those liberal cities cut their police budgets last year. If so, then it’s a toss-up as to which disaster was deadlier: the coronavirus or defunding the police.
Trump's Note for Biden

In an interview with podcaster Lisa Boothe, former President Trump revealed what he wrote in a note to incoming President Biden. He also pointed out that the Keystone Pipeline was better for the environment than transporting oil by trains, “but [Biden’s] friend and supporter Warren Buffett has trains. Nobody ever talks about that.”
