DAILY BIBLE VERSE
Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Psalms 16:11
1. Just crazy
By Mike Huckabee
Chalk up another Biden campaign promise that’s no longer “operative.” President Biden dismissed criticism that he was draining the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to artificially lower gas prices before the elections by claiming that he was going to refill them with lower-priced oil and actually “make money for the taxpayers.”
Well, his “crazy like a fox” plan turned out just to be crazy. All the offers to refill the SPR have been rejected by the White House because oil is too expensive.
They say they will keep looking for a good deal on oil and don’t worry, they’ll refill it…sometime. In the meantime, with threats growing around the world and winter blizzards blowing, our Strategic Petroleum Reserve remains at its lowest level since 1983 and we can’t refill it without going deeper into debt. Nice strategery, Joe.
2. Good news
Don’t be intimidated into letting radicals sexualize your children. Speaking up against this perversion works, and here’s some proof.
Well, it worked with Crocs, but not Teletubbles. Maybe the complaints just aren’t loud enough for them yet.
For further proof that expressing your opposition to this sickness works, I refer you to Disney’s stock price.
3. Must Read
The story that leftists in Hollywood don’t want anyone to hear. Kaya Jones, a former singer for the pop group the Pussycat Dolls, reveals the abuse she suffered growing up in the music industry that destroyed her self-esteem, normalized poor decisions and pressured her into having three abortions.
She’s since devoted her life to Christ and is now warning other young women contemplating abortion that she knows the pain and anger they’re feeling, but “you will regret it your whole life.”
4. Arrest warrant issued
By Mike Huckabee
I’m sure a lot of liberals danced with glee at the news that an arrest warrant had been issued for former President Trump. I’d have loved to see their faces drop (well, Nancy Pelosi’s probably didn’t) when they learned it was a symbolic warrant issued by Iran for “murdering” their top terrorist mastermind in a drone strike three years ago.

5. In case you missed it
By Mike Huckabee
Sunday, President Biden finally visited the Texas border to view the disaster his open border immigration policies have caused. But the Democrat officials in El Paso made sure his photo op wasn’t spoiled by anything ugly, like reality. They cleaned up the streets and emptied the migrant camps in advance of his visit, to make sure that the tragic results of his policies were hidden from public view. Both a volunteer worker and a local reporter used the same phrase to describe it: “A dog and pony show.”
6. A flying start for the GOP House
By Mike Huckabee
New Speaker Kevin McCarthy and the GOP House seem determined to keep their promises to voters, and they’re off to a flying start in their first week.
On day one, they passed a bill to rescind the $70 billion in funding to the IRS to hire 87,000 new agents.
Of course, that bill will never pass the Senate or the White House, so they’ll need to find other ways to cut off the money, but at least it’s a start and a sign that they have the right intentions.
On day two, they established two new committees to increase oversight of China and to investigate the weaponization of federal agencies against political opponents under the Biden Administration.
And keeping a particularly satisfying promise, McCarthy confirmed that Democrats Eric Swalwell, Ilhan Omar and Adam “Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire” Schiff will be fully removed from the intelligence and foreign affairs committees they previously desecrated with their presences.
As McCarthy pointed out, Swalwell was in bed with a Chinese spy and couldn’t even get a security clearance in the private sector, so what was he doing on any House intelligence committee?
A hat tip to Ed Driscoll at Instapundit for reminding us that Nancy Pelosi set the precedent for this by removing Marjorie Taylor Greene from her committee assignments. It once again shows that Democrats love to change the rules to advance their power but never think that they will someday be out of power and the new rules they created will come back to bite them in the rump.
Related: In the Democrat's latest flip-flop on standards, Rep. James Clyburn is terribly concerned about the House investigating government agencies. Why, the DOJ is part of the executive branch and Congress shouldn’t interfere with it! After all the endless investigations of everyone associated with Trump, suddenly, it’s somehow a threat to “our democracy” for the elected representatives of the people to perform oversight of unelected bureaucrats.
To quote Oscar Wilde, “A man would need a heart of stone not to laugh.”
