A 15-year study of 2,770 “gender-confused” children by the University of Groningenin in the Netherlands found that the vast majority of them outgrew it by the time they were adults.

In a blow to trans activists who come a-running with hormones and scalpels every time a little girl plays with a GI Joe or a little boy sings a show tune, the study suggests that it is both normal and relatively common for children and young teens to have doubts about their identity or gender identity at that age. But it’s usually just a phase that most of them get over after passing through natural puberty – that is, unless they permanently alter their bodies and do damage they can never get over. All the more reason not to take aggressive medical measures.
Other unsurprising findings of the study: Gender non-contentedness “in general decreases with age and appears to be associated with a poorer self-concept and mental health throughout development.” So maybe give them psychological counseling instead of drugs and surgery? Also, females were more likely to report feeling unhappy with their gender and having lower self-worth and more emotional struggles while going through puberty.
Like suicide, trans surgeries for confused children are usually a permanent “solution” to a temporary problem. If you think that’s too harsh, note that leftists are also pushing suicide as a cure for depression…
While the butchery of confused children is no laughing matter, the Babylon Bee found a way to turn its satirical fire on this story, and they hit two bullseyes.
